Hey I got diagnosed with tb last year...doctor started my first line treatment. Then I gave my sputum for test in Hinduja . The report came after 1 month and I got to know that I have MDR tb.so the doctor told me to be take kanamycin 1000mg injection .I took it for 4 days but my body wasn't tolerating such a high dose. He stopped my injection and told me to take Monopas .I took Monopas 5 times a day with my 2nd line drugs fir 4 months...but my body wasn't responding, there was no improvement.so we decided to change my doctor.so we went to Dr. Zarir Udawadia at Hinduja. He told us that it is compulsory to take injection for 6 months.so I started taking Amikacine 750 mg. And in this month I have completed my 140 injections.now I am only taking my medicines. It is really difficult and painful to take all these injection. I have seen a lot improvement in my body

Hi Ayeeshamehta,

Thanks for sharing your TB story - I am glad that you are feeling better but it sounds like it has been an awful journey to get there. I hope you get the advice and support you need through this forum and from your friends and family.

Best wishes,

Helen

Thank you so much..it has been really tough for me..I cried everyday after taking injections.my muscle had became very hard because of taking so many injections. It use to bleed everyday. It had become difficult for the nurse to press the injection because the fluid wasn't going in. Because of my families support I was able to take all that injection. None of my friends know that I am suffering from MDR TB I haven't told anyone
