may be during weight restoration worrying about whether or not you count the calories is not so central as getting your weight back to a sensible level. Its really hard in todays society to ignore the calories and food content with every packet labelled exhaustively - but may be as you get used to seeing how much your body needs and the portion sizes - you'll gradually learn to relax about the calories.
Thanks so much for this really helped relax be I guess I just found when I was weight restored previously I was still counting to make sure I maintained and not gained or lost but when I kept gaining despite eating the right amount I ended up relapsing and I’m scared to do this again
I guess this fear is where support - and a diet plan with dietician behind it helps - or it helped me - seeing the dietician as the GP - who was prescribing a sensible and balanced diet - rather than me making it up myself - helped me see what is "normal", what is my ED voice - and usually their guidance means they adjust the diet as and when they feel your weight restoration needs these changes to help you reach a sensible level and to learn just how much your body requires to reach this balance - so do suggest you seek some dietary support.
