At home , but in a lot of pain
Hi all, I'm on my second round of immunotherapy which is
yervoy
and opdivo. I don't seem to be having a lot of side effects other than pretty bad pain on my right side which I think is probably my liver.

New Here
Then I did radiation, and I am currently about a year into
Yervoy
treatments (which will continue for another 2 yrs). Scans have been clear, labs are looking good, and I haven't had any major negative side effects from the treatments.

Sometimes, this is the answer
What guidance exists in determining if we continue on Keytruda beyond 2 years or switch to 4 rounds of
Yervoy
? If we try
Yervoy
, can you return to use of Keytruda?

Stage 3 Adjuvant therapy
Returning in July for follow up scans and start
Yervoy
treatment. Dr stated 10mg/kg standard adjuvant treatment, but have read and they are discussing at conference he is attending now, that they have concluded based on clinical recently concluded that the 3mg dose is just as affective.

Introduction
I was treated with 4 courses of
Yervoy
(Ipi) and then went through a clinical trial of PD-1 which later was approved by the FDA as Keytruda (Pem). I am now past a 2 year mark of being in remission. Words do not express the gratitude that I have for Dr. O'Day and these new immunology treatments.

Stage IIIA at 28
She even stated that there is no significant percentage decrease of melanoma coming back after taking
Yervoy
(ipilimumad) for my staging. After going over all possible side effects I decided I will not be taking any systematic treatments.

Advanced Prostate Cancer: Research Update
Checkpoint Inhibitors A "checkpoint inhibitor treatment" called ipilimumab (
Yervoy
) may hold promise, too. It wakes up "checkpoints" in your body's immune system defenses, letting your T-cells take on cancer.
