2nd generation Jak-i's, what's up?
This is different from the various recently approved ones for MF (
Vonjo
etc) that are more related to Gen 1 Jak-i's. The concept is Gen 2 catches Jak2 while it's sleeping while Gen 1s are limited to acting on the awake (active) config of Jak2. This was supposed to provide a better action.

Jak-i for low PLT problems) I've posted on the anemia issue. The new Momelotinib should help here. From an old post: "I just saw in the business news that Glaxo Co is buying an MF drug maker, Sierra Oncology, for its new drug Momelotinib. Implication is Glaxo expects FDA approval.

She completed six courses and now she is on
Vonjo
. After being on it a week platelets are above 39K and hemoglobin has not dropped below 8. Big change from biweekly transfusions with platelets still staying in the low teens and HGB below 7. No reduction in spleen yet but maybe in time.
