Taking prednisolone
My peak flow is still not normal 82% but goes back up on using
ventolin
which the asthma nurse told me to use 4 times a day til my throat is better. I am a christian so my trust in God to get me through and my church.

Antibiotics for copd
I now have a steroid puffer and another long lasting
ventolin
type puffer which really help. In October I had another bad cold which went down on my chest and I took my emergency melds that my COPD rehab course told me to apply for.

I am trying
Ventolin
at the suggestion of the asthma nurse alongside my Anoro to try to improve the tightness in the right side of my chest. It is a 'trial and error' scenario before I go to my GP. Is it normal for my tongue and lips to go numb like a dental injection would?

Hi from the hospital!
I'm taking it as it comes; but when your asthma has gone from '
Ventolin
very occasionally when needed' to 'two life-threatening attacks in 3 months' over the course of 1.5 years, it makes you wonder what could possibly be next?

How many inhalers do you get per prescription
I used to get three X
ventolin
on each prescription when I was younger and then it was reduced to 1 with no reasoning given to me At £8.40 per prescription once per month for a blue and a brown inhaler the cost of being asthmatic is quite a lot...I've had £30+ prescriptions in the past when I've needed

What are you all on?
Salamol 100mcg, 2 puffs if a bit tight or wheezy, otherwise move to
Ventolin
100mcg, 2-10 puffs through spacer, or 2-4 puffs 4 times a day if I'm in the yellow zone. *** I don't have rescue Prednisolone for asthma, only for my latex allergy, because the nurses and doctors say that they really want

Long winded. :(
Also he's using 3 inhalers
ventolin
, setotide and spirever. But he's using one
ventolin
pump a week. And has done since his recent decline in health, he's been told that using it that much isn't very good for him and the doctor won't give him more than his 2 prescribed every month.

Negative spirometry
Took the
Ventolin
and I'm still not fully recovered, still coughing up mucus and wheezy on the out breath - as I was during the second part of the test. I even took another puff of
Ventolin
on the way to the car. I am set to trial a higher dose brown inhaler with another peak flow trial.

Flutiform
I was changed from Flixotide and
Ventolin
as my asthma was not controlled. I'm now on a combination inhaler - Flutiform, but I have bad cramp in my feet every night, plus swollen ankles. The Flutiform was helping until I got a cold and had to take
Ventolin
too.

Weird triggers, or not-so-weird?
I have asthma (uhh, like that isn't obvious) although not sure what severity; I take Montelukast 10mg every day, Fostair 3 puffs twice a day (yeah, I need to go back to the nurse),
Ventolin
as needed or regularly depending how I am, and Atrovent 20mcg before ice hockey or with my Fostair when I'm yellow-zoning

COPD
The nurse has prescribed
Ventolin
, spiriva and seretide 500 . She also told me that I was going for a chest x-Ray and on a treadmill due to my breathlessness and high pulse beat. I would appreciate if someone can tell me how bad or what stage I am in. Thank you, Raptorabz

What happened?
My asthma isn't too bad at the moment, using
ventolin
around 4 times a week although my peak flow has been only 70-80% of my personal best.

I had a chat with my pharmacist today
Following a previous post on here I asked him about the current thinking about the use of the blue
ventolin
inhaler reliever asthma, and whether it should only be used 2/3 times a week and not daily.
