The respiratory consultant said I have allergies to my cats.....I wheeze from my throat...not my lungs....I use my
ventolin
inhaler and the wheeze goes within 10 seconds......but the cough lingers and lingers......

Is it okay for GP to refuse Ventolin prescription?
Well, twice now my GP has refused by
Ventolin
inhaler prescription for not making an asthma review appointment. Okay, I'm a bit rubbish when it comes to making these appointments and I'm a bit rubbish when it comes to using a preventer.

Intal/Tilade - Medication for exercise induced asthma
For example this weekend, I used
ventolin
before I started, but within the hour, needed to have 2 x 2 puffs more to control my symptoms, and have continued this week to have trouble. I know montelukast is the first choice, but I've tried this and it doesn't seem to help.

Does rain trigger asthma?
I had 4 x fostair 200, 1x spiriva and 8x
ventolin
by 11am. I was thinking about calling an ambulance . I’ve been at my sons sports day all morning and we go outside to the freshly mown field and my symptoms clear up.

Day after sport
I took 2 puffs of
ventolin
as usual before I started, during the hour of playing I needed 2 puffs twice more due to tight chest, unable to catch my breath/get enough air in. During the evening I felt a bit sore but was ok.

She did not do the reversibility portion of test as I had already used my
ventolin
inhaler two puffs so she could not give it again. I am repeating the test on Monday and so anxious

Is it likely i have COPD?
I was having to use huge amounts of my
ventolin
after each cigarette. The strange thing was my chest always sounded clear and i had no wheezing. Quit smoking 2 months ago approximately and I'm still on patches now. In that mind frame currently of why the hell did i smoke!

Pollen, symbicort Smart and ventolin
I struggled in the night and took a
ventolin
. I took another
ventolin
at 7am and have been fine. Now, I have 11ish I am struggling again. I want to have a
ventolin
but I am resisting because I'm not supposed to use the
ventolin
because there is reliever in the Symbicort.

Allergy specialist help
Over the past 7 wks I’ve not needed
ventolin
once (I was using it roughly 10 times a wk), I’ve not woken in the night with symptoms (I was waking about twice a wk), I’ve not had all over itching, as if I begin to itch I take 2 cetrizine and it calms it.

Exacerbation
Went to local GP who said chest infection so was prescribed antibiotics, medrol, Atrovent and
ventolin
for nebuliser plus oxygen as my o2 was 80. The nebs just made me more sob but I stuck with it.

Gone Fishing
I decided to take some
Ventolin
, just as I started my float bobbed under and I had to stop and reel the fish in. Once I managed to get my
Ventolin
and relax and breathe I was fine. I really enjoyed the day as it was something new. I also got some exercise walking from the car park to the fishery.

Stopping Spiriva
At my last asthma review last year I was told to reduce my inhalers ( stop Spiriva but continue with
ventolin
& to drop down to 1 puff instead of 2 puffs twice a os symbicort) she said, because my asthma was stable and no infections or problems.

Confused
Hi, at a recent lung function test i had a two part test, a before and after
ventolin
test, well the outcome of it was that
ventolin
made no difference to the readings, but at a later appointment for the results of the test, my respitory nurse said she wasn't going to remove the
ventolin
from my script

Horrible COPD weekend
I don't know if the weather, the swelling or what but I've had the hardest time catching my breath this weekend and have had to use my
Ventolin
Inhaler multiple times.
