Hi All I have mild COPD (coupled with adult onset asthma) and am on Clenil 100 brown inhalers 2 puffs, morning and night and
ventolin
before I run. All these cost a considerable amount of money when you add it all up.

Salbutamol/ventolin asthma
I think doses/puffs can be confusing as it depends on what strength we are discussing
Ventolin
/Salbutamol (blue inhaler). I take a 200 microgram Salbutamol turbohaler. Even having asthma in the family it took me 4 years from my first asthma attack at 15 until I was finally diagnosed at 19.

Confused
Blocked nose but no temperature so thought it was just a cold.Mon/Tues breathing was fast and shallow, some chest tightness but this went with
ventolin
. PF was 360 (best 460 but normal is more like 420; that was a one off at GP’s).

Confessions of a severe asthmatic
It’s holiday season and here is a time and place to admit our sins... so here goes my most recent - Last night my PF dropped to 30%, but I did nothing but treat with
ventolin
🤫🤫🤫 Anyone else have any confessions? Let it off your chest to get on Santa’s nice list! 🎅🏻🤶🏻🎄🎁

Feeling so ill
Also woke up choking 4 times and had to use my
ventolin
inhaler. I hope this will improve soon . Bad night either shivering or sweating. Sorry, I feel so sorry for myself.

I have emphysema but was treated for asthma. How can they tell if I have both or just emphysema.
I have never had any exacerbations at all just some restriction in my throat rather than chest but one puff of
ventolin
and I could exercise to my hearts content. I tend to use the
ventolin
1 puff 3 times a day which I believe is the initial treatment for copd.

Can Post Nasal Drip Trigger Asthma?
pf and it had dropped down to 350 (usually around 450 but best is around 500) it picked back up to normal after taking another 2 puffs of
ventolin
and taking my spray again though and has stayed stable over the weekend!

Too much Seretide? Lower back pain Left + Right
If tried lowering to 2 puffs twice a day but then I’m reaching for
ventolin
. Is anyone else on a high dose like me?

What more
I’m taking my
ventolin
10 plus times a day and still wheezy so I guess something’s going on. I just want to go armed on Monday and get the right help.

Flu Jab?
I Had mine early on Friday and have been coughing and using
Ventolin
ever since. I was doing so well! Of course they say it’s just a coincidence, I wondered how many others have ‘coincidentally’ had an Asthma problem a few hours after their jab?

Fostair
I was on clenil but was using my
ventolin
every day so was put on fostair. I find it ok overall but I kind of feel that my breathing is at 90% rather than breathing easily which I can when I use
ventolin
. I have only been on fostair for 10 days so maybe I need to give it more time to work?

Reasons To Be Cheerful
It was subsequently branded and launched as
Ventolin
in 1969. Just try to imagine what life would have been like without it. It gave me a chance of living a ‘near normal’ life, rather than being a ‘mere observer’ watching from the sidelines.

Update on Braltus Rash?
Keeping on with Fostair and
Ventolin
, exercise etc. If anyone has experienced any similar effects on being switched to from Spiriva to Braltus Tiotropium, please let me know. (I know everyone is told that there is no difference between the two and that the tiotropium bromide is the same.
