Tazobactam

After two weeks of Meropenam by IV and my blood levels have increased with infection and now I’m on another round of 1-2 weeks of IV Tazobactam and a new one Azactum. Has anyone had any side effects from the latter? As my sciatica is on the march.

That was until I was hospitalised with pneumonia in 2016 and given Piperacillin/tazobactam. I had a terrible reaction with a weeping rash on my arm where the drip was placed. The rash appeared in a few other areas and I had some added breathing problems to the pneumonia.

The patient completed two weeks of piperacillin/tazobactam followed by three weeks of oral amoxicillin/clavulanic acid. The abscess resolved during the otorhinolaryngology follow-up.[/i] [i] [/i] [i]Thyroid function test showed primary hyperthyroidism.
