Symbicort

I am taking tudorza 400mcg 1once in mornings and once at night l also Take Symbicort 2 puffs in morning and night is it wise to take the Symbicort Immediately after the Tudorza or wait a prescribed time

I have made a good recovery after having most of the problems associated with this surgery.I also suffer with C.O.P.D and have used steroid inhalers (Symbicort) for many years I was diagnosed with D.V.T in August 2015, which caused pulmonary embolisms in both lungs, treated by daily anticoagulation injections

I've had asthma for nearly 40 years and was taking symbicort and ventolin as a reliever. My GP has now refused to prescribe more than 1 ventolin inhaler per prescription and said I should need only 1 or 2 per year.

I take montelukast (generic) for my asthma which was great when first prescribed but much less so now, 100 mcg levothyroxine, cetarazine (5mg), one puff symbicort inhaler once a day, one puff pulmicort (steroid only) and supplements so I'm rattling with pills.

Anway, I'm back on Symbicort for the last few days and I think things are calming down but it feels like it will take a while. Surely this shouldn't be happening without discussion

Following an asthma attack which landed me in hospital for a few days, I was told to take 8 puffs of symbicort daily for three months, before reducing. I reduced to 6 puffs daily successfully, but when down to 4 my chest started tingling etc.

If the symbicort was going to help would it have done by now?

I ended up at a respiratory specialist who advised me on taking Symbicort 200, one dose x 2 a day. Everything got better within 3 to 5 days. Miracle. I have then however stopped taking Symbicort after 6 weeks. Asthma came back around 12th week and was more difficult to tame it with Symbicort.

Ive been using symbicort for 6months now as a maintenance. Lately, Ive been having trouble looking for it at the pharmacy, they dont have a stock often, just this morning I talked to my Gp about so he prescribed me to use seretide as a substitute.

My Dr's surgery have said I'm not allowed Symbicort anymore as it's too expensive and they're changing me to Fostair. They sent out a letter to me and others, by the look of it, to let us know. No appt to discuss, just that my prescription from now on will be Fostair! Not very happy.

I have an asthma since I was a child, but it got uncontrolled last february, and now I am taking 4dose of symbicort 160/4.5 and montelukast. I just want to ask if anyone here knows if there's any bad effect of these meds for the baby just in case I got pregnant.

I feel so depressed as I thought xolair would help, Symbicort 400 /12 was changed to duo resp and I've just read the steroid in seretide is stronger . Is anyone else like me can't get control no matter which inhalers or how many puffs and yes tried smart regime didn't work .

I take symbicort 160/4.5, montelukast (singulair), and Omeprezole everyday. I also take albuterol as my rescue. I'm wondering if a nebuliser would help me out. Thanks!!!

I am now on Symbicort 100/6 and use 2 puffs in the morning and 1 puff before bed. Best wishes to everybody.

I was started in symbicort about 6 weeks ago and it has been great for stopping the wheezing. I never had any other problems so can't comment if it has been helpful there too. However 2 days back my wheeze came back, and have started to get mucusy/thick feeling in my throat.

The patient information leaflet for my asthma inhaler (symbicort) has a warning about taking care if taking it with levothyroxine. Does anyone here know why this is? I am currently going through a really wheezy patch which I don't seem to be able to find a reason for.
