Also I have been using
symbicort
2 puffs twice a day... yesterday and today. Besides that, maybe once or twice a week.

DIFFERENT INHALER IS SO GOOD
I used
Symbicort
for years and it got to the point where it didn't seem to be having any benefit. Going upstairs always left me with a lengthy pause to recover. So last week at the GP's I managed to get it changed to Fostair.

Symbicort PMI v turbohaler
Hi, I have just had my
symbicort
dose increased so changed from 100 to 200 inhaler. The asthma nurse prescribed, I think by mistake, a pressured meter inhaler (PMI) instead of the turbohaler I am used to.

On Monday they have given me
Symbicort
, Ventolin, Beconase nasal spray, antihistamine tablet and Montelukast. I feel a bit more stable and coughing is less but still have poor peak flow and a strange dry lung feeling. Anything over a walking speed makes me breathless. Stairs are a no no!

Is asthma a disability
I was changed from Seretide to
Symbicort
400 in June and tried on Montelukast tablets, even though I was given them when first diagnosed and they didn't help. I ended up in hospital in December, having had a "severe asthma attack".

Help please
I am taking montelukast, Spiriva and
Symbicort
smart but the symptoms don't seem to be relieving. Prior to this I had no problems at all with my chest but six years ago I got a chest infection which went on to pneumonia and then pleurisy and that seems to have been what has triggered everything.

Does it ever get better?
Flovent,
symbicort
and alvesco and ventolin seems to not help that much.my questions are - has anyone struggled a long time to then finally get relief with the right medicine? I am losing hope. Also because I constantly struggle to get the breath I find it impossible not to get anxious.

Symbicort v DuoResp
Hi, I've recently been swapped from
Symbicort
to DuoResp and after getting quite ill I was swapped back. I would be interested in others experience. DuoResp states that although the dose content is lower the delivery system delivers a higher amount and therefore is just the same.

Xolair - A miracle - 50 years of suffering gone !!
I started Xolair 4 months ago, goodbye to Ventolin, pred, nebs, green color inhaler and from 6 puffs of
symbicort
a day to 2 if I remember. Stone and a half weight loss and feel like I have my life back. Anyone else had such a good reaction.

GP refusing to prescribe more than 1 reliever
I've had asthma for nearly 40 years and was taking
symbicort
and ventolin as a reliever. My GP has now refused to prescribe more than 1 ventolin inhaler per prescription and said I should need only 1 or 2 per year.

Livid red bruises on arms, poss. side effect
I have made a good recovery after having most of the problems associated with this surgery.I also suffer with C.O.P.D and have used steroid inhalers (
Symbicort
) for many years I was diagnosed with D.V.T in August 2015, which caused pulmonary embolisms in both lungs, treated by daily anticoagulation injections

unable to stop crying, unhelpful ENT consultants, need some hope /advice
I take montelukast (generic) for my asthma which was great when first prescribed but much less so now, 100 mcg levothyroxine, cetarazine (5mg), one puff
symbicort
inhaler once a day, one puff pulmicort (steroid only) and supplements so I'm rattling with pills.

Reducing Symbicort
Following an asthma attack which landed me in hospital for a few days, I was told to take 8 puffs of
symbicort
daily for three months, before reducing. I reduced to 6 puffs daily successfully, but when down to 4 my chest started tingling etc.

Reaching out there
I ended up at a respiratory specialist who advised me on taking
Symbicort
200, one dose x 2 a day. Everything got better within 3 to 5 days. Miracle. I have then however stopped taking

after 6 weeks. Asthma came back around 12th week and was more difficult to tame it with
