Chest wall pain? Symbicort?
My asthma seems to be 'ok' as I'm taking plenty of
symbicort
. The only problem I'm having is this chest wall pain. Going for a ct scan next week following a load of a&e visits and Dr appts. I had a realisation yesterday that the pain is often triggered after I take my
symbicort

He has had take an emergency ventolin inhaler and increase his doses of

. He is taking
Symbicort
x 3 times a day, and ventolin whenever he is out of breath, which is x2 a day. When he is asleep, he is wheezing so much my Mum is waking him up to resposition himself.

Out of control
was wondering if anyone has any advice they can give me, I had asthma as a child but it was never very bad, I'm now 25 and the past 18 months have been hell, my asthma is out of control, I've been on steroids 6 times which help for 5 days then I'm back unable to breath, I'm using a blue inhaler and

Could anyone tell me whether it is true
Symbicort
is for severe asthma sufferers or is it can also be used for mild asthma sufferers?

It just won't stop
I'm on
symbicort
, montelukast, spiriva (for COPD even though I don't have COPD). I'm desperate. I had to resign from my last job because mentally and physically I couldn't carry on. I have a new job and don't want the same thing to happen again.

Transfering inhalers
I was using
Symbicort
12/400 and I have been transferred to a Relvar Ellipta. Has anyone experience good or bad about the Ellipta?

COPD STUDY
Having had to stop my spiriva and
symbicort
to do the tests I just realise how much I need them - just using inhalers at the moment but if I had doubts about my meds I certainly know now I need them. 😀Ps how do I edit my upside down profile pic??

Atrovent
I'm finding that with the exception of
symbicort
, my other inhalers such as tudorza, and spiriva aren't helping the way I expected.i was thinking of trying Atrovent. So I'm asking anyone who is using Atrovent what their opinion is, and if they find it to be helpful with breathing.

Back on Seretide :D
I was changed to Fostair from
Symbicort
(200/6, 4 puffs twice a day) by the asthma nurse I don't usually see, on the premise that '"it's double-strength anyway", because I didn't like the DPI device.

Soot exposure and chronic bronchitis
After having used a corticosteroid inhaler (
Symbicort
) for a month, FEV1 went up very slightly, from 82% to 85%, with zero (!) reversibility. 3 days later, 14 months after the fire, I had my first attack, after re-exposure to relatively low amounts of cement dust.

Asthma?
After spirometry the pulmonologist put me on ProAir and
Symbicort
. I got off them once I started feeling better. Then suddenly on another night I had a coughing fit at night again, and now on the daily I'll have chest tightness, and shortness of breath.

Want to know more about symbicort. Is it working for you? Recently just change from Qvar to symbicort.
I'm kind of fearful in taking this inhaler of all the bad reviews I've read. Would be great if anyone can post on their experience and opinion with this inhaler. Specially long term. ....thanks

Hydro vs pred
A bit of background: currently on
symbicort
SMART 200/6 (around 8-9 inhalations total a day for the past 3 days), montelukast 10mg, fexofenadine, mometasone/beconase. In fact I think it was a worsening of my rhinitis and changing nasal steroid that caused this exacerbation.

Bedtime issues
It is considerably painful to cough it up and the
Symbicort
has only a minor effect. Apart from Bronchiectasis I suffer from asthma, which has been poorly controlled over the years, and severe allergies that affect my lungs.

Herbal and complementary treatments
While I'd never stop my
Symbicort
, Spiriva and Ventolin, I often wonder if I'm missing other additional benefits available from the vast range of herbal and complementary products. I fully accept that many of them are nothing but snake oil, but some of them might have potential.

Dear friends.
I was first given
Symbicort
by Doc joker... When supposed I was 50%.... The way this doctor consulter acted was like a clown. So I went to another hospital who also said...YOU GOT COPD. AND IT'S BELOW 50%...gave me Seretide 50/250 and a big bag of other medicines.
