What next? Feeling a bit down with it all
I am on what most doctors consider ""max meds"" - salbutamol, symbicort,
spiriva
, oxis, ciclesonide, home nebs and now pred for a little while. There is no point in making an appointment with my GP - although she is absolutely fantastic, there is nothing more she can do to help.

spiriva
I know its lisenced for copd but Ive been reading that it is useful in difficult asthma to control breathlessness, Ive been taking for several years and its enabled me to reduce my inhaled steroids from HUGE doses to minimum dose, cut my exacerbation rate & increased my exersice tolerance. Are there

Spiriva Respimat - Tiotropium
Its only since I have been taking
Spiriva
that I have been able to breathe, my lung function tests improved from being able to blow 250 on a good day, to blowing 650 soon after taking
Spiriva
; but
Spiriva
is drug of choice for COPD.

New user - Spiriva/tiotropium and a locum doctor
Instead she's given me
Spiriva
/tiotropium to take on top of Seretide. Is this drug often prescribed for asthma? The leaflet etc. is all about COPD, and it's not something that any doctor has mentioned to me before.

Glory be! A doctor that listens to you!
To go back next week for spirometry test plus he'd like me to go for chest x-ray to see what is going on in there, as he put it, with a view to putting me on
Spiriva
to ward off future bronchitis. The man's a god.
