Shielding Question
I've had 4 ICU admissions in the last 2 years and take Fostair 200/6 (4puffs a day), 5mg Prednisolone daily,
Spiriva
, Montelukast, Azithromycin and Carbocisteine. I haven't had a letter or a text saying I'm in the vulnerable group but that doesn't seem to match the advice on the Asthma UK website?

High FeNO levels
I take symbicort 400/12 2 puffs twice daily and
Spiriva
2 puffs once daily, so wondering why my levels would have increased? My asthma nurse said it could be because I was having an asthma flare up and my airways were inflamed. Is there any other reason that the level could be raised?

Strict social distancing or high risk
I am on
spiriva
which might be the difference - could not see that drug on the nhs list? Thinking I might need extra strict social distancing or slightly less strict shielding! Anybody else in that situation? Just don't feel like one of the most vulnerable! All very confusing.

COPD
Has anyone else taken these (I believe Braltus has replaced
Spiriva
) and gone on to other medications with better results?

Confused as to whether I should shield or just follow guidelines for everyone.
She suggested a longer course of Ped going back up to 10mg to begin with and recommended that I start on
Spiriva
. I booked a phone consultation with GP who has agreed to prescribe it following an email from the AN.

Spiriva Respimat
Well Doctor prescribed but told me take for 3 months if no change come back and see me. Also has ordered a sleep study. After 2nd day of dosing have throat tightness and last night so hard to sleep as I couldn’t breathe. Kept doing breathing exercise and propped up pillows. Finally fell asleep. Scary

Cracked corner lips could it be my steroid inhaler
Side of my mouth corner of my lips are cracked and sore could it be Relvar 184/22
Spiriva
Respimat 2.5 My dentist said I may be run down or it’s the steroid damage? She gave me cream which has helped a little but it keeps cracking Does anyone else have this problem?

Spiriva

Excess mucus since taking Spiriva
Along with the
Spiriva
I am also taking, Symbicort 200/6 and taking two puffs in the morning and two puffs at night. Is it normal to be constantly coughing and bringing up brown mucus since taking
Spiriva
as this has never happened with any other medications for my asthma?

Huge improvement
I was on stertide and
spiriva
for 2 to 3 years. And my asthma was getting worse. Three attacks in December, five lots of steroids in 2019. I was part of a study that monitored how I was taking my inhalers and that was 100% but was still very unwell. An underlying issue was suggested.

Braltus inhaler
Changed to
Spiriva
, helped a lot but made me even dizier. Changed to Anora Elipta, didn't seem to help as much with breathing, felt like cotton wool stuck in throat. So back on Braltus, still helping a lot and which now no longer makes me dizzy.

Fed up
I'm currently on symbocort 400/12 and
spiriva
, they did try me on montelukast however it just gave me headaches and made me very thirsty and didn't make much difference to my asthma so they were stopped. I'm also on fexofenadine 180mg every day.
