chest infection increase with singulair
Those that have mild / moderate asthma and are on
singulair
, has anyone felt they've had an increase of chest infections from getting a cold since being on
singulair
? I know it is one of the 'side effects' Christine

IgE number?
surprise since I already knew from scratch tests as a kid I am not too allergic to those things, mainly mould spores is my problem), but then he said my IgE number was 488 which was high, but then he said I was ""an allergic person"" so this was to be expected and is just leaving me on Seretide and

His medication is
Singulair
10 mg daily - Uniphyllin 200mg twice daily - Symbicort up to 12 doses a day. Every three/four weeks since July he has had to have oral steroids for 7 days. His asthma is clearly not controlled properly and he is awaiting another appointment with specialist. Any advice?

Yucky question
Found
Singulair
helped a bit but gives me nightmares when I sleep and cramp in lower leg when I stretch. I've stopped
singulair
for the last four nights to catch up on some much needed sleep. Any ideas or suggestions gratefully received. GM (snuffle, choke).

When to take Singulair/Montelukast?
I'm now on a combined inhaler (seretide) and have been given
Singulair
to take. The GP ruled out an infection but was worried enough about my chest to give me 5 days of steroids as well. Now the steroids I'm ok with I've taken them before so I am taking them after breakfast.

Re Results of my asthma review today
I am pleased i have managed to stay on my
Singulair
, after being told they were going to stop it, even though i have had great results from it (No attacks for the 3 months i have been on it.) I ran out of the
Singulair
last week and they wouldn't issue it, until my asthma review.

Feeling worried that they might stop my Singulair at my Asthma review next month
Changing to the higher strength and having
Singulair
added to my asthma treatment has significantly improved my quality of life.

Could my sleep problems be caused by Singulair?
I would love to stay on
singulair
for the asthma benefits but wondered if anyone else has experienced the rapid heartbeat and general wakefulness at night? I use seretide, an anti histamine, plus numerous meds for other conditions. The only recent change has been the
singulair
.

New user - Spiriva/tiotropium and a locum doctor
Since the summer I've tried Seretide 100, up to Seretide 250, and recently
Singulair
/montelukast 10mg. My GP's excellent, but I'm waiting to see a consultant. I've had a few fairly severe attacks since November - resulting in either a trip to hospital or a row from my GP for not going to hospital!
