I use
seretide
daily and reliever if required. However my excema is flaring up no end. I have olitum, hydrocortisone, betnovate the whole lot. I want to feel healthy again so I have joined a gym and have decided I am going to lose weight (am about 4 stone overweight).

Tight chest but no other symptoms
2 and a half weeks ago I was taken off my
seretide
by my doctor and given just salbutamol and serevent to see if the
seretide
is what has been effecting my voice. Yesterday I started with a bit of a tight chest but today it feels like someone is sitting on the centre of my chest.

Asthma - making me fat and unhappy
It started off with nebs and prednisolone courses and then I went onto
Seretide
500 (from symbicort) - it worked initially, but lately I am feeling dreadful again.

I think i might lose my job :(
This has all gone to pot since my last cons appointment and i had my
seretide
cut. cant get in to doctors until the 12th and i'm working before that. I'm not looking for emergency advice, just general advice because i cant afford to be sacked because of my asthma.

Bad cough after exercise
I take
seretide
125 twice daily and bricanyl as and when needed and think my asthma is pretty well controlled. I do need my inhaler before I play and half time and occasionally towards the end of the match but once finished I have this really chesty cough.

Smoker in my group
I'm on
Seretide
250 4 puffs a day and montelukast. One of my problems is that the group I go to every week has a member who is a smoker. She always has a cigarette just before coming into the room.

Is anyone else's voice affected by their inhalers, etc?
I also have hypothyroidism, but my doctor said that now it's stabilised with thyroxine, that it can't be the cause of my hoarse voice.I currently use a Bricanyl Turbohaler (when needed, when I don't quite need a neb) & a

Alternative to seretide????
I just wondered if there is an alternative to
seretide
. I used to be on symbicort but that gave me the shakes really badly so I went onto
seretide
. It works great for me but unfortunately it's really affecting my vocal cords even though I'm taking it through a spacer.

Becotide and serevent vs seretide and symbicort
I then moved house and doctors and saw the asthma nurse there who said they didn't like their patients being on symbicort so they put me on
seretide
. With in a month I had my first really bad attack and ended up in hospital then a couple of months later the same happened again.

getting worse, and what next?
I've been on
Seretide
500 for the last 10 months or so, and Montelukast at night (then just salbutamol reliever).
