Feel sooo guilty!
Shes already on
Seretide
, Montelukast, antihist's and ventolin. He has said she'll need a broncoscopy. Im soooo scared of this. My poor baby! Just feel so guilty, like I couldve done something different for her. Maybe Im not getting her meds into her properly? Maybe shes not taking the whole dose?

Dry cough for several weeks
The doctor wants to put her on
Seretide
if the nurse agrees. She currently takes Clenil and Ventolin, but in small doses (2 puffs twice a day). What is
Seretide
meant to do? Am I right to assume its a long acting bronchodilator or am i on the wrong track. She is nearly 6 btw

Montelukast advice
Hi there - my daughter has just started on montelukast (she is 7 and also has
seretide
daily) and we are struggling to find a way to fit it into our routines. It says it must be taken 1 hour before or 2 hours after food. She is very active and needs a snack after school and then tea.

Not allowed to wear coats at playtime??!
She already takes singulair and
Seretide
50 together with medications for her multiple allergies and is needing her ventolin inhaler most playtimes now and I can only imagine this will get worse as the weather gets colder.

seretide for the under 2's
Her consultant called today to check how she is doing and is keen to stop the Montelukast and start her on
Seretide
. However he stated that the
Seretide
is not licensed for children under 2yrs of age at the moment so he's going to have to investigate it. Does anyone have any experience of this?

Is this normal
I am also taking
seretide
500 twice daily and singulair at night. Over the past couple of weeks though I have put on so much weight and my knees and ankles are really swollen by the end of the day. Is this just a normal side effect or should I be worried?

Steroid Cards
A colleague recently attended a respiratory training session and was told that anyone using
Seretide
250 Evohaler (or 500 Accuhaler) should carry a steroid card. I have never issued any of my asthma patients with a card and wonder if someone can clarify in what situation you should?

Oral thrush
I take lots of inhaled steroids,
seretide
accuhaler and budesonide turbohaler, so don't use a spacer. I have never had a thrush problem. I saw the consultant on Friday, who looked at my throat, said it looked abit red, but was not a problem.
