Guidance sought
For the past 2 years she has used
SERETIDE
125. Moving from 8 puffs a day down to 4. However, doctors and nurses are keen to lower this further, but at every attempt within 24 hours of even 1 less puff, coughing and laboured breathing are evident.

nebulisers for children
My daughter (16mths) has had asthma for nearly a yr and is on Ventolin,
seretide
and Montelukast. Her consultant has swayed whether to prescribe a nebuliser for home but then changes his mind as he feels she should be in hospital if that bad to need one.

So fed up and don't know what to do next......
Took her to docs who changed her on to
Seretide
and Cetirizine alongside salbutamol and montelukast. There was a few days reprive and then last night was sa total nightmare. She couldn't catch her breath and although she doesn't go very blue her lips turn blue with coughing.

3 puffs of Seretide 50 twice a day??
I can see there being some benefit in giving her regular ventolin (before her regular
Seretide
dose and every four hours through the day) but I'm loathe to give more
Seretide
than the leaflet states. Has anyone else given/been recommended that large a dose to their child?

Is this 'controlled'?
My daughter (16months) is currently on
Seretide
, Montelukast and Ventolin. She has been chest since Christmas and has had antibiotics for a chest infection and Pleuresy. She is coughing for England when she sleeps. Not at all during the day but DREADFUL at night and when she has a daytime nap!

Still not good here....
Molly has been upped to
seretide
100, 2 puffs twice a day and given antibiotics as she is very crackly at the moment. Nursery have said that she is getting sleepy after she gets worn out and her colour is very pale. They were concerned about her yesterday.
