Asthma and action plan
Also take 2 puffs of your
seretide
inhaler twice per day. Zone 4 It is a medical emergency if your symptoms continue to get worse and your peak flow reading have fallen below 220. Get help immediately by telephoning your doctor or calling for an ambulance by dialling 999 or 911.

Fed up :(
Been taking
seretide
religiously hoping it would somehow protect me but I've realised my lungs are just vulnerable to any floating bug out there. Now that I'm on my second course of pred this year, does this mean I need to carry one of those steroid cards?

Uncontrolled asthma and pregnancy
I was prescribed steroids and made an appointment with asthma nurse who prescribed me
Seretide
as well as my ventolin. I gave this 10 days to start seeing an improvement but there was none so went back to asthma nurse who referred me to the doctor.

Does anyone else get this?
Meanwhile, I used to take what I think you call
seretide
, with the LABA and steroid inhaler in it. This year I've been taking zirlukfast as usual, flovent 220, 2 puffs twice a day, and then ipatropium and levabuterol nebs, or inhalers, as needed.

Help?
Has anyone had experience of fixed dose combinations (
Seretide
and Symbicort I believe they are called) and can anyone recommend devices that are really easy to use? Hope you can help! Hannah

Constant productive cough and voice problems
I changed to
Seretide
250/25 + occasional ventolin + Montelukast and seemed to be getting it under control (from November to late March) with mostly quiet nights and onlythe occasional coughing during the day, although throat clearindg remained a problem.

Not improving as much as I should
I'm still on double
Seretide
I am lots better but I'm still having some problems. I've got a productive cough, am still needing Salbutamol although I'm needing lots less and my peak flow has not returned to normal.

Cough, Cough, Cough
One of the side affects on the
seretide
leaflet is an increased risk of colds, she does seem to have more colds since being on it but the severity of coughing attacks has decreased.

Asthma and pregnancy
I'm on
seretide
and singulair at the moment - had a big flare up before christmas and started the singulair which has made an amazing difference, I forgot to take one the other night and noticed the difference the next morning.

On the plus side the

What to do now
I doubled my
Seretide
, and after one week needed Prednisolone. Days 3 and 4 of Pred I was in my local ED as was still tight and apparently had poor air entry. Luckily I responsed well to Salbutamol and Atrovent nebs and am now on antibiotics as ED felt I might have got a chest infection.

Rescue Prednisolone at home?
Hi I'm currently on
Seretide
(125) 2 puffs twice a day, Montelukast 10mg and Salbutamol when required. One of the worst triggers for me is getting colds. I've tried doubling the
Seretide
or just using a separate Flixotide inhaler to increase the steroid component but I still run into problems.

seretide
kicks in.

Back in hospital again :(
He put him onto
seretide
and gave us direct ward access...little did we know that we would be using it so soon! He didn't tolerate Montelukast so he has suggested an alternative to this also, can't remember it's name though.
