Worried about current situation
I was on
Seretide
250 and Ventolin. Had a bad spell (needed several nebulisers over the last few weeks), now got a haemophilus chest infection and the doctor has put me on prednisolone, changed my
Seretide
to Symbicort and gave two more weeks of antibiotics.

What now?
Unfortunately I've hit a bit of a brick wall with my asthma :( I'm on
Seretide
, Ventolin, Uniphyllin, Certrizine, montelukast, pred (ment to be 10mg but can't get below 25mg these days) I've tried atrovent, tiotropium, symbicort, oral salbutamol (put me in a funny heart rhythm :/ ) and Xolair to no avail

This is a strange illness
She has changed his medication from
seretide
to symbicort and has lowered the dose of prednisolone in an attempt to stop his arms bruising so badly - fingers crossed.

Two steps forward and one back
The problem is that I have had three appointments with my cons during which I have tried and stopped Symbicort SMART, changed to an MDI
Seretide
(to make sure enough was getting into my lungs), tried Omnaprozale which ruled out reflux and started Atrovent.

What Next?? More Pred?
Last week when I saw the nurse she prescribed Fostair, which I tried a few times and although it gave some relief it didn't seem to last as long as the
Seretide

Seretide - osteoporosis side effect?
Osteoporosis -
Seretide
side effect? At 41 years old I have just been told I have Osteoporosis. I went to the doctor about the bruises I have as a side effect of the
Seretide
and so she decided to send me for a bone scan. I see
Seretide
has bone thinning as a rare side effect in the leaflet.

Osteoporosis - Seretide side effect?
Seeing my lung consult next week, with the view to stop the
Seretide
. I suggest any on you you have the systemic effects of Long term
Seretide
use I.e. bruising, joint aches think about getting your bones scanned too.

grr leg cramps back again ;-(
I remember why I stopped
seretide
2 years ago now, leg cramps!! I stopped and moved to flixotide and oxis, the cramps stopped but the oxis gave me gastrointestinal problems so had to take domperidone to counteract them. If its not one thing its another!!

Moon face woes
I also take
Seretide
, was 250/50 x 2 puffs am/pm. Now I've been able to reduce that down to 1 puff am/pm because my lung function is so much better that I'm absorbing the
Seretide
better. (People without asthma get 3 times more
Seretide
into their system than people with bad asthma).

Seretide Question/opinions please?
We just had an appointment with my daughter's doctor and have been given
Seretide
to trial for 2 weeks with her. The doc said it isn't licensed for under 5's (she was 4 in Feb past), so I'm a bit unsure about it.
