Seretide
? Or for further investigation into his problems. Any advice really appreciated

adverse reactions to LABAs?
I've had a pretty rough few months since moving from clenil (steroid only) to
seretide
, then symbicort, both of which contain a long acting beta agonist. I've been back on the clenil for about 10days and feel a bit better, so my GP is working on the assumption I may be sensitive to the LABAs.

does anyone know where to buy the medication for a nebuliser (ventolin) as it is my GP's policy not to allow patients a home nebuliser. ?
I have had asthma for around 10 years and use
seretide
and ventolin accuhalers. I have now been started on Spiriva, but feel I would benefit from a nebuliser, but I cannot find the medication on line. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Skin reactions to Seretide inhaler.
Has any woman (or man I suppose?) used a face mask and found her facial skin has crumbled in places. I have a feeling this is the side affect of skin thinning. Katie JJ

One thing after another - feeling seriously overwhelmed!
Looking back I really should have seen GP 4 years ago - I'd spent a few years on
Seretide
intermttently when I was younger. Then about 18 months I got back from France afer having my best period in years - yes used my brown inhaler as I should, but didnt use my reliever at all.

Montelukast 10_mg
I was diagnosed with asthma a number of years ago & until just recently was coping with
Seretide
& Salbutamol inhalers. However, after a persistent cough which started around October, I visited asthma nurse who suggested Montelukast tablets at night.

How to approach doctors to test for CF?
I'm on montelukast and
seretide
250 and Salbutamol at least 4 times a day. I've always had chest infections minimum once a year but that's increased in recent years and now I'm just coming down with my third chest infection in 4 months despite antibiotics.

Feeling desperate
I went back to the GP and was put on
seretide
125, as I preferred the idea of having, what my doctor called, 'a lower dose steroid' (later I found out this was actually a bit higher than the double dose of clenil as
seretide
is double the strength!)

Extra air to exhale? (after new meds)
I've just switched this week from
Seretide
500 to symbicort 200 (2 doses/ twice daily at this stage). So far my peak flow has increased slightly (420 to around 450-460 in the eve/ same in the morning). However the main difference has been in how i have felt.

Do you worry about side effects?
My asthma is really much more well controlled on symbicort than I was on
seretide
- and I don't want to change it but at the same time, it sounds like it can cause problems with breast feeding etc. I know asthma drugs are amazing and give people (including me) a new lease of life.
