Pre-empt a chest infection?
In the past when I was taking
seretide
, I had an asthma action plan that would have kicked in through the drop in peak flow but the plan was never updated and now I take sirdupla which I know isn't licensed at any more than 2 puffs twice a day.

Fostair100/6
However, I have been told to stop using my
Seretide
immediately and swop to Fostair100/6 as apparently the
Seretide
makes mucus production much worse, which isn't helping me at the moment. 1. Is it OK to stop
Seretide
immediately and start Fostair100/6? 2.

Seretide 'step-down'
Has anyone else been advised to change from
Seretide
to another med? Although this is the only med that has been effective for me, at my last review I was told it's going to be changed soon. They have already stepped me down from a 250 evohaler to 125 causing me to need my Ventolin daily again.

Has anyone had side effects soon after starting Fostair? I’ve had oral thrush, joint pain, and flu like symptoms and a very dry mouth!
In hospital 10 days with asthma/chest infection and
SERETIDE
was replaced by FOSTAIR. Had oral thrush, have VERY DRY mouth, joints aching, and flu like symptoms which I didn’t experience on
SERETIDE
! Many thanks for your help.

Never ending cough misery
Been stepped up from Orange inhaler to
Seretide
250 4 puffs a day - then added montelukast to help night time coughing. Had clear chest x ray. Blood tests all fine apart from lymphocytes - dr says this is due to having actual flu...

Airflusal adverse reaction
I was on
seretide
before with no problems. I don't know whether it's the airflusal it self or the fact it's 500 and just too strong. It makes my lungs feel like they are burning and then I get really shakeup and breathless for ages. Doc. Is reluctant to change it.

Asthma with possible acid reflux sinus problems and allergies
I'm currently taking
seretide
500 accuhaler 2 puffs twice a day as well as Dymastis nasal spray morning and evening. I'm currently fighting of a possible upper respiratory tract infection and have just finished a course of antibiotics.

Fostair versus Seretide?
on Wednesday and he suggested a change of inhaler to Fostair MART from
Seretide
. Although I have been having a very tough time lately
Seretide
has always worked for me so I am doubting the change.

Fostair swilling
I am new to fostair and am hoping for a improvement from sybmbicort after a short try on
seretide
that didn't work for me. I have only been on it for 3 days now and also I don't want to get thrush so am swilling with mouth wash as I take my medication roughly the same time as daily hygiene.
