Trouble breathing
My lungs are affected by my lupus, very sensitive to changes in my steroid dose (which hasn't changed for a few months), but are generally not too bad (I use a
Qvar
inhaler, max dose, morning & night).

Few questions on taking the inhalers
I'm currently taking
Qvar
100 2 inhalations twice-A-Day. Could you let me know: 1. In the morning should I take it before or after breakfast? 2. Should I measure my peak flow before or after taking the inhaler? 3. After taking my inhaler I have been recommended to use a mouthwash.

Asthma medication denied by surgery
Reason being I was now on
Qvar
and Serevent inhalers and didn't need the ventolin inhaler anymore. And as I hadn't requested a repeat prescription for the Ventolin for over a year they assumed I didn't need it any more.

I take Seretide and
Qvar
, Montelukast and often have at least two to four courses of steroids in the summer due to attacks related pollen, heat etc (I also take an antihistamine and a nasal spray).

Newbie having a tough time
I went from the brown
qvar
beclometasone inhaler to the pink fostair beclametasone/formoterol preventer about 4 years ago after I kept getting chest infections and it helped. However, I've now had two pretty bad flare ups of my asthma in the last 4 months.

Foradil and Qvar
Hi is anyone on these two inhalers. I have been on them for 18years. I found them very good but just lately I find I have to take a puff of Atrovent in between. I find the weather affects me dreadfully in Ireland. I also have a nebuliser whuch I take if I am really not well but thankfully it not often

Fostair Help Please
My asthma changed me to fostair last week as
Qvar
wasn't controlling my asthma very well. Only thing is I've had a few side effects, can't stop shaking and my anxiety has gone and raised heart rate. I've been taking it since Wednesday 1 puff twice a day. Will this go away or should I see my GP?

Am on 40mg of steroids, fostair,
qvar
, montelukast, aminophyline, home nebs etc etc just to give you an idea) Its been worsening for 3/4 years (probably longer if I think about it properly but the 3/4 years it impacted massively on life) I see a consultant team in my home town and in Portsmouth, so

Confused
They tried me on
Qvar
, but after 5 days I was wheezing again. After 10 days the cough was getting bad, so I gave up and returned to the Symbicort. My normal doctor left recently and I can't seem to get on with the other one.

A Suffocating struggle...
I'm on... fostair,
qvar
, singulair or monteclaust if that's how you spell it. I've a new when bad and of course ventalin. Sometimes my trachea rattles, which is new, but because the Gp don't hear a rattle I feel like they poohoo me.

This month sees me on montelukast tabs as well as my
qvar
