New Here — Most Recent Arrhythmia
Hi, all — I initially posted this to the Afib Forum but just found this group, which seems more appropriate. I was experiencing episodes of tachycardia sometimes lasting up to a half hour or so. Being a non-cardiologist, my first thought was Afib and, indeed, that’s what my Apple Watch said. I ended

Dofitilide without Afib??
Hi, all — not sure this is the right place to be, since it doesn’t really appear that I have AFib. I was experiencing episodes of tachycardia sometimes lasting up to a half hour or so. Being a non-cardiologist, my first thought was Afib and, indeed, that’s what my Apple Watch said. I ended up going

Moderate COPD longevity.
Hello, new member here. I have a particular question about COPD. I was diagnosed about 18 months ago with mild COPD. A few months later it had progressed to moderate, but only just. That's when i got serious about it and started to change my lifestyle. I'm happy to say that for the past 12 months or

emphysema results
hi everyone I have emphysema . Just had a spirometry test and my results are Fev1 =50%/1.16 Fev1/Fev6 =0.67/87% fev6 =62% how bad is this? Does it mean I only have half lung capacity? How is everyone managing at this level?

Anyone else feel voiceless in appointments?
So tired of everything right now. Speaking to my cardiologist who just seems to completely ignore excessive evidence provided to him relating to the frequency of my PVCs. Why is it adult patients are spoken to like they’re either stupid or children? I actually spoke up for once and said I felt

PVCs Should I worry?
My Kardia is picking up fairly frequent PVCs and Dr Google has informed me that frequent PVCs can lead to sudden cardiac death. Great! Now I'm really worried. Please help if you can throw any light on this. Feel frightened to go to sleep now and not sure what to do.

Peakflow v fev1
I have always been puzzled Re peakflow v fev. My best peakflow reading is 660, but at present I am in the low 400s with lots of ventolin to keep it out of the 300s, where I tend to lose control. I am rather out of breath. However my fev1 reading is in the high 300s which is perfectly OK given my age

Metoprolol- advice please.
The chemist just delivered new tablets. Metoprolol , 25mg one twice a day. Experiences please? I had hallucinations on bisopralol and it dropped my BP so low I could barely move. BP normally averages 123/63. This is for constant PACs and PVCs. I react really badly to many meds and there are a couple

New here, 35yo Male, diagnosed with Adult onset Asthma, but concerned it could be something more serious.
Roughly two years ago I noticed bouts of severe shortness of breath, frequently coming while at rest and after eating, lasting for hours. The house I was living in at the time had a bad damp and mold problem, which I suspect was the cause of whatever now plagues me, as I'd never suffered from shortness

Coming off Flecainide (for PVC's) and possible Ablation for Teenager
She was in Bigeminy at 13 years old with a
PVC
after each regular beat and had some bouts of irregular rhythm. We have had a multitude of tests and medications and right now she is relatively stable; last 24 hour ECG showed less than 1% PVC's when before it was 47%.

Results of Exercise Before Bed Afib Experiment- Plus idea about 'Afib Citizen Science Projects' for forum members
I started a post 16 days ago about exercise before bed and Afib, see https://healthunlocked.com/afassociation/posts/148706621/have-any-vagal-afibbers-tried-exercising-before-bed I thought I would start a new post here so more people may benefit from my observations which are very interesting. Below

Wolf Mini maze. It Works.
Hi, I am really in good shape after the Wolf mini maze. I am almost off all medications and only some few PVCs occasionally., I am here to tell you that The Wolf mini maze is amazing and that Doctor Wolf is amazing. I wish more surgeons would learn how to do this procedure. I am horrified by all the

Sertraline and Sotalol
Apologies as I have already posted this on a previous thread, but I think other fellow AFibbers need to be aware of this. I was recently put on a low does of Sertraline (an anti depressant) as a treatment for IBS, as had the most horrendous abdominal cramps that over the counter medications barely touched

Possible Nsvt?
Problem is lately they have been getting worse and while I can bear the isolated
pvc
/pac or even a bigeminy run, what really terrifies me is when I feel a run of them.

Cold Turkey Stop of Bisoprolol for PVC’s Change to Diltiazem
Hi, I’m a healthy 45 yr old female recently diagnosed with high rate of PVC’s. My heart is healthy, no damage but I’m being referred by my current cardiologist and waiting for an MRI and appointment with a specialist in another city as he said it looks like I’ll need an ablation as the meds have not
