Info over attacks
I come home crash out on the sofa until its time for my
pulmicort
neb. After this I feel so much better. and am able to carry on abeit at a reduced level. Peak flows are still a bit down but at about 380 most of the time when I'm normally at about 450.

Change of Inhaler...
My son has previously been prescribed
Pulmicort
200mg 1 dose twice a day in addition to a reliever he uses when required (not very often - mainly in the summer during the hayfever season and he's ben running around outside) and we have been very happy that his asthma is well controlled.

3yr old with asthma
He was using
pulmicort
since last year but this week his asthma has got really bad and now he is on ventolin inhaler. The docs have been quite useless and when I visit they tell me he has a throat infection but why would this set the asthma off.

Limited to 3 SABA inhalers per year.
I'm 47 have had asthma since I was a teen, for the last 25 years I've been on inhaled
pulmicort
and salbutamol. This has worked really well, I've never had a serious exacerbation requiring oral steroids or hospitalisation.

Asthma & Medication
However my asthma symptoms got worse again, and when I saw my nurse about this, I was given a
pulmicort
inhaler two puffs twice a day. This worked and improved my symptoms until I had an asthma attack again. After this the symptoms came back again and the inhaler no longer worked.

Steroid tablets
I'm already on 1mg/2ml
pulmicort
, salbutamol, atrovent nebules and singulair tablets. Does anyone know how long it takes for all your bodys systems to revert back to normal or if there are any tests which can be done to check?.

Seretide
Just a quick one, just been given Seretide to try (after 10 days on
Pulmicort
made me worse), do I need to wait for the effects to build up or should I see a difference pretty much straight away. Just wondered if the LABA part of it should work immediately?
