Pulmicort Turbohaler
Was just given this yesterday but having trouble with it, its really hard to inhale deeply with this, like theres a blokage or I can't breathe in hard enough. Is this normal or should I head back to the pharmacy/doc? My chest is hurting already and I've only tried twice! Help!!!

Inhalor woes
I've been asthmatic all my life and for the past 16 years, it had been controlled with Brycanyl and
Pulmicort
turbohalors. However, I've recently (In the past 3 to 5 years) noticed that they are ineffective in the event of an attack.

A medication question...
Can anyone tell me if I would be able to ask for an 'add on'
pulmicort
inhaler to my current medication? I am currently on Symbicort (200/6) SMART and Loratadine tablets (antihistamine).

Pulmicort
Hi All, I've recently been prescribed
pulmicort
(400) as an addition to symbicort to use for 3-5 days at a time when peak flow drops (if no effect to see nurse after this point) as I've been having a hard time at night for a while and thanks to AUK now realise my lungs should be better controlled!

Sometimes I get these 'hyper spikes' from the steroids
I have tried
Pulmicort
and Symbicot in the past but both give me the same reactions so it appears that I have this reaction to steroids. Thanks for listening to my rant, Bob. p.s.

Feeling better already
I saw my GP yesterday and she changed my preventer from
pulmicort
to symbicort. I've only had a couple of doses but the addition of formoterol really seems to be doing the trick. Last night I had the best night's sleep I've had in ages and I'm feeling great.

Do Asthma meds make you immunosuppressed??
My little girl is taking Budesonide (
pulmicort
) 1mg twice daily as well as other things. This is a high dose considering she is only 2 years old but its keeping things at bay hopefully. Online information about Budesonide states it is a strong steroid that can leave you immunosuppressed.

Braille on Turbohalers
So far I have:
Pulmicort
Brown (100mcg) is Number 1 Bricanyl Blue is Number 2 Symbicort 200/6 is Number 6 Symbicort 400/12 is Number 7 (I think) I'm just curious to know what the other numbers are. It doesn't seem to make any sense.

Would welcome some advice..
I tried to explain this to several GPs but they all looked at me as if I was nuts - they had never heard of
pulmicort
causing this. The more I took the
pulmicort
the worse my panic attacks became and when I was free of the
pulmicort
I had no anxiety or panic at all.

Pulmicort 100 & 200 CFC free inhaler
Has anyone else heard that with immediate effect AstraZeneca are no longer going to be manufacturing these medications due to ' complex manufacturing issues ' Users are to continue using their current supplies and seek advice on an alternative inhaled corticosteroid from their GP or Chest Physician

Coping without access to medication.
Previously my Asthma (diagnosed over 20 years ago) was extremely well controlled with
Pulmicort
. Having been 'forced off' this I've turned to a saltpipe which IS helping though (give it time) not as effective as the drug... My difficulty is of course that I've now no access to Ventolin either.

Confused Ramblings!!!
I started on
Pulmicort
last Wednesday, taking 1 puff morning and night. At the same time I changed from Salbutamol to Bricanyl. I've noticed that since Thursday, my symptoms are not any worse, but more frequent.
