Pregnant with IUD
We were certainly shocked to learn this since I have had a
ParaGard
IUD in place for a little over a year. I had the device put in at my 6 week checkup after having my daughter in March of 2018. We visited our OBGYN immediately. He discussed the good and the bad.

Still painful and still no answers.
He told me that my adhesions were now from my
Paragard
, not fibroids like before. He said the copper can cause inflammation in the pelvic area and cause adhesions to grow.

Adhesions, but no endometriosis?
I thought maybe I had strained something or maybe my
Paragard
had shifted, so I was going to give it a week. If the pain was still there in a week, I would call my gyno’s office. A week later, the pain was still there.

I got
Paragard
put in as birth control, and it is supposed to last 12 years, so that gives me and my husband lots of time to consider planning another child or not. I have one question for you ladies. How did you deal with the first anniversary of your PPP? Mine will be November 13th of this year.
