Symbicort or Flixotide/Oxis
I am not sure that i am any better than i was when on the flixitide/
oxis
. Is it a case of what suits one dont suit the other. I thought flixotide was supposed to be the best. Does any body seem to do better on one that the other. I am struggling and not sure what to do.

symbicort
At moment i am on 2 puffs twice daily, but since been on high dose of flixitide and
oxis
for lots of years, i am not sure whether i am getting the same amount of steroid into me now that i am on this symbicort and also is pulmicort as strong as flixotide I thought flixotide was supposed to be the best

Asthma med and high blood pressure
Hi all, Has anyone had any raised blood pressure problems from asthma meds, I have read that LABAs (salmeterol, seretide, advair, symbicort,
oxis
, formeterol) can raise blood pressure. It would be good to know if anyone has a problem with this. Cheers RI

What next? Feeling a bit down with it all
I am on what most doctors consider ""max meds"" - salbutamol, symbicort, spiriva,
oxis
, ciclesonide, home nebs and now pred for a little while. There is no point in making an appointment with my GP - although she is absolutely fantastic, there is nothing more she can do to help.

Cramp
Since being on
Oxis
(for 3 weeks) I have been waking up in the night several times with terrible cramp. It has been much worse than cramp I have had in the past and lasts longer. Then when I get up in the morning I cannot put my weight on my foot. The muscles are painful, sometimes all day.

Inhaler Dosage
What has confuzzled me is that the box, patient information leaflet and English sticker all say
Oxis
12 micrograms on them but the inhaler itself when you take the lid off and on the Spanish sticker (under the English one) say
oxis
9 micrograms. My questions are: 1.

flixotide
Last week when I went to see the nurse practioner my inhalers were changed to budesonide 400,
oxis
and montelukast because apparently they are not allowed to prescribe flixotide any more.It shouldn't have caused any problems because the amount of steroid is the same.

More medication
I saw the my GP again today and he has also added Formoterol (
Oxis
) 12mg twice daily to my list of medication as he's not happy with my PF's. Just wanted to thank everyone here - all the hints and advice received on my previous post helped me ask the right questions. Cheers all :)

Really sore throat
Have recently been prescribed Qvar and
Oxis
. My throat is so sore and my voice keeps disappearing, in spite of rinsing my mouth out and cleaning my teeth after each inhalation. Can anyone suggest a remedy for easing this. I cannot see any evidence of fungal infection.

Advice please, pain in ribs!!
I improved a little but slowly got worse and had
Oxis
Turbohaler added. Again in December I had to leave because within minutes of getting out of the house my asthma and throat would start up straightaway, with the usual running eyes, itchy ears etc...
