Obliterative bronchiolitis

hi everyone I was diagnosed with idiopathic obliterative bronchiolitis type 2 respratory failure about 10 years ago and have been on home oxygen first for 16 hours a day but increased to 24 hours over the last 4 years or so.

Then I realised that bronchiectasis and obliterative bronchiolitis often get put under the heading of COPD, which they are not. I know that others have had the same experience, but I am a pedant and like to be accurate. (Must be the maths teacher in me!)

This study improves our understanding of the formation of obliterative bronchiolitis (OB) lesions in small airways. Identification of early processes leading to BOS and improved understanding of the underlying mechanisms will help us develop tools to manage BOS.

Hi, New here.😀 I have been diagnosed with BO after a biopsy. I had problems with my lungs for approx two years before the diagnose. The cause is not known, no transplantation or any other known diseases (yet). I have read quite a bit about the disease, although its not much out there. Now to my question

I suffer from Obliterative Bronchiolitis , mild bronchiectasis, and lung nodules so I am a lot going on in my lungs. However, suddenly out of nowhere my joints in only one hand are suddenly painful and my third finger is thickening locking and is not mobile.

For those if you who have Obliterative Bronchiolitis how long have you had it for? And is it staying stable?

Last July I was told I didn't have copd but obliterative Bronchiolitis (Arthritis of the lungs) I have been getting really fast heart beat all the time and have had treatment to reduce inflammation on the lungs. Although I thought I had been getting better.

Hi all I have COPD / Obliterative bronchiolitis and I am looking for travel insurance. Somebody suggested NFOP. For members they do an annual travel scheme with no declaration of medical conditions. Has anybody used this insurance if so is it any good.

I have obliterative bronchiolitis and kidney failure. When I go out anywhere I like to have on my silicone medical wristbands to say I have a fistula in my arm, so that if anything happens doctors etc know not to use it.

I have obliterative bronchiolitis and I'm on dialysis. For the past 3 weeks I've had a cough and recently my appetite hasn't been good. Had a chest xray which came back clear. Got blood tests done and there is no infection, just low in phosphate because I'm not eating so good.

Finally got to did I have a wheeze, so I explained I had bronchiectasis and obliterative bronchiolitis. I am not sure the nurse knew what they are, also told her about the congenital heart disease return. Not sure she understood that either.

I do not have COPD but I do have bronchiectasis and obliterative bronchiolitis. My lung disease is very severe.

He did tell me the bronchiectasis is severe and is probably what led to the obliterative bronchiolitis. One thing he did say was that if I had smoked we wouldn't be here having these conversations. Quite a thought.

A family member was diagnosed with bronchiolitis obliterans (which I presume is similar if not the same as obliterative bronchiolitis) in July.

Can someone please get in contact if they have obliterative bronchiolitis as I have recently been diagnosed but not been told much about this condition or how it will effect my life, thank you x

It has been suggested, in some of the literature I have received from him, that my lung function tests indicate obliterative bronchiolitis (and then three weeks later, another piece of literature stating that that there is no evidence of obliterative bronchiolitis.............hmmmmm me thinks that the

I have chronic thromboembolic disease and a small airways disease that is looking like obliterative bronchiolitis. Been a nightmare getting diagnoses and even now after five and half years not quite there. Anyone out there with similar conditions? Would love to compare notes.
