Why liothyronine treatment is opposed - it's the money, folks
This paper lets the cat out of the bag by openly promoting lessening of
liothyronine
prescription purely on the basis of cost/patient - little said about patient reaction, rather a sneering attitude of those few doctors who will prescribe T3.

The price of T3 - and how it has been ramped up
Long thread on twitter by Billy Kember right now about the plot to raise the price of
liothyronine
in the UK. apparently it's from a book he's written: https://uk.bookshop.org/books/sick-money-the-truth-about-the-global-pharmaceutical-industry/9781838850258

Liothyronine prescription for none UK brand T3
When I was first diagnosed 14 years ago as hypothyroid, I meekly accepted the T4 medication and believed my health would recover. Fast forward to 2012 and I was in a very bad way thanks to Teva T4 debacle. Then I found TUK and this site and started to take charge of my thyroid health.

Current T3 Liothyronine situation in UK?
Hi everyone, can anyone tell me the current situation for getting/not getting T3 in the UK? Is there any sensible way forward to getting it alongside T4 currently please? I have Hashimoto's, diagnosed in 2016 and treated with T4. I felt well at first but then brain fog etc returned. I tried very hard

How much T3/T4 should I take?
I've been looking into obtaining
Liothyronine
(probably Tiromel 25 mcg) to supplement the Levothyroxine I currently take. Hypothyroidism runs in my family - I've been on T4 since I was 19 and my daughter since she was 11.

Strange symptoms
test shows TSH is less 0.05U/L (0.4 to 5.5) and he should reduce my dose but I ask him not to as I'm really sensitive to symptoms so he won't and he says however, my Free T3 were in the normal range with a T4 of 13.3pmols/L (11 to 26) and T3 4.8pmols/L (3 to 6) Currently on Levothyroxine 75mcg and

Does Sigpharm Liothyronine still work?
I even up dosed my
liothyronine
, the FT3 number was excellent. I began to think whether Sigma Pharm lio is no longer good for me. Does anyone else experience the similar problem? Thanks

Billy Kenber's summary of extensive new CMA documents on Advanz
The company showed off to investors, using
liothyronine
as an example of its "pricing expertise". Other documents show price increases were suggested when the company was on track to miss financial targets.

Sigma T3 25 mcg avilability in the UK?
Does anyone know whether anywhere in the UK they stock SigmaPharm
Liothyronine
25 mcg tablets? I am on 5 mcg tablets from a British pharmacy but it's not sustainable when you get to higher doses to keep taking lots of them to make up your daily dose over 40 mcg.

Latest results on Levo & Liothyronine
Hi all, I've just had the doc text me my results from a blood test taken yesterday. I am under an endocrinologist who advised me to reduce my previous dose by 25mcg Levo and add in T3 (Thybon Henning) at 5 x 3 per day. I lowered Levo by 25mcg and after 10 days, introduced T3, at 2.5mcg in the morning

Liothyronine Sodium vs Liothyronine Hydrochloride - what's the difference?
Hi there, I'm currently taking 5mcg tablets of
Liothyronine
Sodium (SigmaPharm) three times daily which is rather expensive, I've asked for an alternative that might be cheaper and pharmacy I get it from can supply me 20mcg tablets of
Liothyronine
Hydrochloride (Thybon Henning).
