Discontinuation of ibrutinib
My mother continues taking
ibrutinib
, almost 3 years now and doing fine. But right now she has to prepare for a digestive endoscopy, which is ineluctable, so she has to discontinue
ibrutinib
treatment.

Anyone on Eliquis and ibrutinib, or other CLL med?
I've read a Mayo Clinic article discussing the use of
ibrutinib
and blood thinners due to afib, re-introducing
ibrutinib
at 280 mg dosage. Frequent monitoring is required. I'm wondering about other CLL meds and Eliquis-type Rx as I'll soon have to make this decision.

Ibrutinib, is it working for me?
One is psoriatic arthritis and prior to going on
ibrutinib
I was on subcutaneous methatrexate 20 mgs once a week. It was stopped as a precaution to go on
ibrutinib
. Within 11 days almost all the CLL symptoms had gone. Later I had general surgery to remove a 5 inch infected cyst on my back.

Ibrutinib side effects
My husband is taking
Ibrutinib
for CLL and one of his many side effects is very dry skin and constant cracking and peeling of his finger nails - to the point of great pain. Does anyone in the group have suggestions for treating it? Thank you

Achey hips
Started treatment
ibrutinib
at 49 and I noticed that although you get aches from
ibrutinib
I didn't get achey hips anymore. Went dancing at a soul night on Saturday I know I should grow up but love dancing and it's probably because of that that I now have my achey hips back.

Dr. Shadman on Fixed Durations of Treatment in CLL
[i]"Last year, many patients would likely opt for a chemoimmunotherapy regimen as opposed to an oral drug like
ibrutinib
(Imbruvica) because it is a fixed duration of treatment, says Shadman.
