Question about anti-tnfs and bad teeth.
After I started using
Humira
I noticed on all the info that comes with it that you shouldn't go on them if you have dental problems. No one said anything to me about this before I started on them.

Other treatments for Behcet's
It's inexpensive and has mild anti-TNFa properties like the biologics (Enbrel, Remicade,
Humira
, etc.), with fewer side effects and little risk. Low-dose nicotine patches can also work well for oral/skin ulcers - see the research.

Steroids - how much can you take without doing any lasting damage?
As soon as I stopped, even though I had started the
Humira
I had a massive flare up. It's been five weeks now and I'm struggling to do anything and in terrible pain. I've had three
Humira
injections but they haven't helped yet. Is it worth asking for more prednisolone? Would I be allowed it?

Experiences with infections and anti-tnf treatment please.
I've been on
Humira
since the start of December and felt ill since just before Christmas. I've fainted twice including Thursday last at work. GP said it is just all too much for me all I need to do is rest. I've managed to get a week off work to rest but still feel awful.

Update on starting Humira
The company that deals with the
Humira
deliveries and the nurse who comes out to help are really easy to communicate with, you get loads of phone calls and the helpline is really good too. There is never any reason to feel in the dark about any of it.

Tocilizumab
Hi all, am due to have my first Tocilizumab infusion tomorrow (wednesday), as the
Humira
injections aren't working anymore and my bone density test was bad so they took me off the steroids which I have taken for 5 years and which have obviously been masking the severity of the disease.
