Panic/heart rate PLEASE HELP
My biggest symptom of (my now diagnosed) panic disorder is palpitations/high heart rate. It isn't freakishly high, but I am so super sensitive to it that a rate of 90 may as well be 150 :'( I have been struggling with it all day, to the point that I'm either going to have to take an emergency-only xanax

Heart bypass
Hi - I had a triple heart bypass 2 years ago and also have a 100% occluded cartoid artery. I am also in the over 70 age group (only just) but I do feel quite fit and go on my daily walk. . I feel particularly anxious during this pandemic as I am sure most people are. Am I being paranoid ?

Open heart surgery just before the corona virus lockdown. I feel emotionally drained.
I had an open heart surgery on 25th Feb, 2020. I was on the path of recovery and ready to return to the world when we experienced the pamdemic and suddenly there was a lockdown in my country. I hadn't gone out anywhere in the month on March. I joined work in March end and exactly then the lock down started

Covid-19 and Long QT Syndrome - risks of returning to work
Hi ive not worked for a while and have the offer of a job at short notice but it would be working on a manufacturing site and not from home. As I also have some anxiety I am getting terrified of the risk of catching Covid-19 , especially as I have Long QT Syndrome which means some of the anti- malaria

Getting the weight off my chest...
Yes, I was rather pleased with that one (post title). This post is about the cathartic effect of writing things down. Over the last 12 weeks, I have slowly pieced together an account of what has happened to me to share. Writing has been therapeutic for me and maybe it can help someone else. I plan to

Waiting for open Heart surgery.
Hi, I have been on this site before. Could anyone let me know if they are in the same situation. My husband is due to have open heart surgery but due to the corona virus they have been put on hold. I appreciate the situation and would be very worried if he needed his operation with the virus hanging

Can't get heart rate up
Hi, again. I have managed to get my home Cardio Rehab going and a routine that works except maybe it doesn't. It's 10 weeks since my quadruple heart bypass and for several weeks now I have been doing Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home for a Healthy Heart in the morning and then walking around the woodland

Advice from your experience please.
Hello again, Hope you are all doing okay. I’ve been really helped by the supportive posts that I’ve been able to read on here. Thank you! I just wanted to ask people’s opinions really. I have a GP consultation in the morning, as I’m still having a lot of issues. I’ve been on flecainide 2 x 50mg

Low iron really effects breathing
Hiya Just noticed your post now and thought I’d mention that after a lot of worry and tests regarding my breathing a few months after my open heart surgery. l found out from talking to my doctor and asking loads of questions that very low iron effects your breathing because the blood needs iron to produce

Today’s EP Tele-health appointment
I’m grateful that I have such a good relationship with my EP. We had a phone catch up today and he reassured me that there was no AF on the recent Kardia tracing I’d sent through (which was 135 bpm and said “possible AF”). He said there were runs of atrial bigeminy then a run of atrial tachycardia then

The Haemothromb Test®
I am a UK citizen living in Hungary with two ablations under my belt (6 years apart). I currently take Pradaxa as the anticoagulant but am considering returning to warfarin. I was researching INR self testing machines when I came across this INR test - The Haemothromb Test®. I will investigate it further
