Is anyone taking Piqray with a different drug, not Fulvestrant shots?

I was switched from Ibrance/Letrozole to Verzenio/Fulvestrant. I started Verzenio 5 months ago and Fulvestrant 6 weeks ago (had my first three loading doses and my first regular 28 day dose is in two weeks.

Here is what I’ve been on so far: 1) Fulvestrant and Fasoldex/Pablociclib for 15 months - stopped due to progression in the bone 2) Piqray/Alpelesib and Letrozole for 1 month - had to stop due to severe rash 3) Afinitor/Everolimus and exemestane for 8 months - stopped due to pneumonitis and progression

I have been on ibrance and fulvestrant for past 18 months. Of late i.e .past three months after four or five days i get high bp and fever and my hands start shivering and i feel v cold.

side effects of fulvestrant especially weight gain any comments? thank you.

Got my second loading dose of Fulvestrant today, first dose given two weeks ago. By the time I got home from the doctor's office I had a flat red rash on my behind about the size of two quarters, about 5 inches away from where the shot was given (right side).

Dear friends, After 1.5 years on Ibrance/Fulvestrant and a very short time in NED status (great while it lasted...) my cancer reappeared this spring.

I’m thinking about my sister moving from Ibrance and exemesane to Piqray and Fulvestrant. Isn’t there anything in between? Is this where a second option can be useful? Would love to know how others handle this?

None of the oral meds or fulvestrant worked for her. Either she had intolerable side effects or, mostly, they were ineffective. She started chemo about a year ago. It was hard at first, but now she is NED and feeling great.

My oncologist wants me to start a new combo with monthly Fulvestrant injection and Piqray. I have read some terrifying review about Piqray. Do any of you ladies have experience with this regimen that you could share with me? Is Piqray a harsher drug than Kisqali?

Over the past three years I have received two (500cc) shots per month - one in each hip for a total of 72. The problem I am having is the residual gel left in the hip area. I currently have three which are about the size of a medium thumb. I believe these to be pressing on a nerve going down my leg.

Ibrance and exemestane until three months ago and then started fulvestrant 3 months which hasn’t worked. Pleural effusion back (1 liter which had to be drained) and lung mets grew. Bone mets stable. Has anyone had a similar treatment and success on the next line of treatment and what was it?

I am also on fulvestrant every month and Zometi every 3 months. My onc is now asking for a PIK3CA mutation test. I found this study in your discussions from a year ago ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl... . I am interested in your latest experiences in this. Thanks in advance.

My doctor is switching me to Fulvestrant with the Verzenio starting next week, hoping to get ahead of this. Of course, the endoscopy has to verify everything, but my doctor does not want to wait anymore, given the mechanisms behind lobular and quite frankly I have to agree.

My 3rd line of treatment since 2020, she said I could continue on fulvestrant if I wanted to for another month, but her recommendation was to change to prevent any possibility of further spreading - she knows best!

I'm not complaining, I've been on Fulvestrant alone for 26 months w/out cancer spreading. [MBC in 9/ 2016, 2nd line after Ibrance & Exemestane gave me a pretty good run until 1st progression after 3+ years in 2020.

Since Fulvestrant is an estrogenblocker and bones need estrogen for strength....am wondering. i will see my oncologist in 3 weeks and discuss then but if anyone has had bone break experience?
