What to do now?
I'm already on 2 puff twice a day of
fostair
(200/6), 10mg montelukast per day and ventolin when I need it. Short of giving me steroid tablets to take every day, I'm at the most he says he can do for asthma, other than starting treatment for COPD, which he is certain I haven't got.

What can I do?
heavily since Friday so went the docs on Monday who listened to my chest and said I didn't have a chest infection but she could hear wheezing and that I was having an asthma flare up/exacerbation (she suggested it could be some sort of virus or the hot/cold damp air) advised me to double up on the

No joy
I took the meds as prescribed - sadly, as before, once the pred wore off I was back to square one - the other meds have done little or nothing - the cold weather we are having in the UK means I am using my
fostair
a lot.

Asthma- Small Airways Disease Diagnosis
I've been prescribed
Fostair
to replace Seretide but this has caused constant coughing fits and now a big attack so I've had to stop. I struggle a lot with tight chest/ breathlessness/tiredness despite multiple meds and long courses of prednisolone.

Qvar And Fluticasone Inhalers
I'm currently using both Clenil and
Fostair
Inhalers (don't ask, it's complicated) but have a desire to get off
Fostair
(even though at times it has proved very helpful).
Fostair
seems - after a while - to irritate my lungs (especially my right lung).

Asthma?
Is there anything I should be aware of with
fostair
? (It seems to have only been around for a few years, despite its components being around for a long time) Can an elevated ige (assuming for a long period of time) cause tachycardia?

COPD exacerbation
Doctor changed my meds last week to Levafloxacin for the infection plus Spiriva and
Fostair
inhalers (previously on Salbutamol and Symbicort). Thing is I had expected chest to get better but 5 days later I feel same or even worse and have had hallucinations.

Fostair 200
I have been on
Fostair
for about 2 years and since then I have suffered with reflux causing breathlessness and stomach pain. I have been put on Lanzaprazole which does not help and irritable bowel medication for stomach pain. Nothing is working.

Asthma attack recovery time?
I'm also using a
Fostair
200/6 preventer and salbutamol when I need it. My peak flow readings are down (~300 when my best is 410), and I have a kind of heavy feeling in my chest. Is this normal, or does anyone know how long it might take for it to ease up?

Fostair revisited
I asked him about
Fostair
and gave him the leaflet. When he had read it and reasons for not having it he said I should definitely not be having it as I have valve problems and high blood pressure so I have gone back to Seretide.

Fostair instead of Seretide
Can anyone tell me more about
Fostair
as I have just been changed to it from seretide, but having read up about side effects I am not very happy, as two bad interactions are possible with two of the heart drugs I take.
