Currently on
fostair
, spiriva respimat, pred, carbocisteine, montelukast, uniphyllin, nebs, codeine for the pulled muscles and to supress cough. I also drink warm honey and lemon or chamomile tea literally all day, suck on packets of soothers in an attempt to calm it.

Flutiform query as I am having problems
At a review with the Asthma nurse the preventer was changed to
Fostair
which made me cough and that was changed to Qvar which I stayed on (together with Salbutamol and Montelukast) for almost 3 years, able to carry on life fairly normally with few worries.

I’ve just started Fostair NEXT and it leaves a gritty sweetness in my mouth. Is this normal?
I’ve not used this type of inhaler before and there is no mention of this in any of the info I can find. Could my inhaler be defective?

Confused and bewildered
I currently am prescribed Spiriva respimat-2 puffs,
Fostair
100 -4 puffs , Montelukast and of course Salbutamol. If I only have very mild asthma why all the meda. Sorry about the rant but i'm still a bit angry.

Broken rib from coughing.
The meds he uses at this moment are,
Fostair
, Spiriva, has a rescue Ventolin inhaler, takes carbocysteine or NAC. He has a nebuliser (and a portable one) with ventolin nebules, which he uses about 4 times a day at this moment.

Lockdown asthma deteriation
In summary, managing my asthma properly just started the hospital was great and now doing daily peak flow tests,
FostAir
& chamber. I have joined this community as was ignorant, perhaps let down by local GP , certainly pandemic didn't help.

Frustrated and apparently over medicated
But the outcome was that she recommends that I reduce the
fostair
further - I'm really reluctant to do so. I don't feel that well controlled atm and it's taken 7 months to get here.

Fostair Palpitations
Hi all, I've just been switched from Sirdupla to Forstair, to try and get my asthma under control (ongoing issues for over 4 months). I took my first dose around 11pm and immediately afterwards I felt heart palpitations, and a strange sensation that I'm struggling to describe. Maybe...wired? Jittery

emergency steroid card
Was sent away with a flea in the ear by my doctor who simply dismissed my fear and instructed me to continue with
fostair
and cease use of beconase which was prescribed for life by my ENT surgeon. Anyone else bothered by this new advice on the card?

Advice needed
I ended up having a short burst on Prednisolone to help relieve the symptoms and take a
fostair
inhaler twice daily, while I never got back to how I was pre-March this improved a lot of the summer until the last few weeks.

Fostair
Fostair
etc -
Fostair
not effective - changed back to Seretide on a daily dose - quite sufficient along with Ventolin if required.

Looking for some advice.
Has anyone experienced the same with
fostair
? Should I try a different inhailer? or put up with this side effect as my asthma is under control? What other inhailers would you guys recommend?. Many thanks 😊

Got a referral to respiratory!
----- She was concerned to hear I was told to double my normal
Fostair
200/6 dose two GP surgeries prior to this. Apparently the current guidelines prioritise taking 2-3 puffs of ventolin every 4 hours without doubling the steroid dose. So, that's what I'll be doing until my referral.

Fostair & antihistamines
Started
Fostair
100/6 (two times, twice a day) a few weeks ago & having some sinus trouble. Really bad post nasal drip causing me to cough and my chest to feel rough. Is it OK to take Loratadine along with
Fostair
? Tried saline nose spray / lots of water etc.
