It's back again
the treatment I will be on is irinotecan with
fluorouracil
and folinic acid , obviously I know it won't be a walk in the park, but if anybody has been on this kind of treatment please could you let me know, I hear the side effects are feeling like crap, lost of hair so I'm gonna look like an egg head

I am using
Fluorouracil
every other day as the GP prescribed for 8 weeks. Has anyone used this and does it work in destroying the cells?

Is Chemotherapy necessary even when the tumor is small and not spread to Axillary lymph nodes?
My mother(53 years had lumptectomy and a tumor of about 3.5 x 3 cms was removed. The biopsy report says negative on the Axillary nodes.. so the cancer has not spread to other parts as I understand that Axillary lymph nodes are first which receive the drainage form the breast. The Onco surgeon has recommended

Kennymorris HI everyone at the moment I am having chemo 5FU I have just had my 3rd dose. Has anyone else had the 5FU CHEMO.
I have just had the 3rd treatment I have it on a Wednesday 2 hours at the hospital and then a bottle attached to my PICC line that goes into me over 2days at home. For the 2 days I am completely out of it very tired and have the most awful runs. Is there anyone else that is on this chemo and what effects

What percentage of people don't respond to pre op chemo?
Hi there, I was originally diagnosed T3 N1 M0 in May, had 3 cycles of EOX chemo and then the Ivor Lewis op 9 weeks ago. Operation went well but discovered quickly afterwards that the "gold standard" procedure of pre op chemo has failed massively in my case. Pathology tests after the op showed that

Pancreatic Cancer Survivor
I was diagnosed with an inoperable adenocarcinoma in the head of the pancreas in Jan 2007. Yes, 6 years in a few months. Resection was not possible as the tumor surrounds the superior mesenteric artery. Treatment was 2 months Gemcitabine, followed by 30 days of very high levels of radiation concurrent
