Rivaroxaban
I also take Adizem 120 slow release and 50mg
Flecainide
2 per day as well as my many respiratory medications. Any thoughts would be very much appreciated from this wonderfully supportive site.

Can antibiotics trigger PVCs?
I've had them for 10 years and they've been controlled well with daily
Flecainide
and Verapamil, until now. I've got a 7 day holter monitor on at present but I'm getting more depressed with every passing day. I'd love to hear from anyone who's PVCs got worse following an infection/antibiotics.

Acupuncture/Amiodarone... a study
I now have
Flecainide
as PIP (for AF episodes) and Edoxaban. I don't do well on drugs and from the very beginning I turned to acupuncture, homeopathy etc. I continue to try and identify triggers and make adjustments to avoid / reduce stress.

Cardiac issues
Next, on 7 May I have a 7day Holter Monitor fitted, then at a later date I have a cardiac CT Scan - which will be the start point for different medication, namely, Sotalol 40mg and
Flecainide
.... BUT .... HERE'S THE RUB - I must have the CT Scan first before going onto Flec.

Flecainide as Pip how soon will it work?
What I didn’t ask is do I keep taking the
Flecainide
in the morning before CV. I will also start my apixiban and increase my dose of metoprolol from 8mg to 12.5mg. Can’t believe my wife and I are flying to Bali in just over a week…..

12 months waiting for nothing.
He said the only way forward was to prescribe
flecainide
. I worked it out that it would mean I would have to lose 7 stone (98 pounds) I also told him that I was getting episodes every 2 months on average and that when I did go in to AF I was at a loss as to what to do.

Heart Ablation vs Just Continuing Medications
I am currently taking Diltiazem, Eliquis, and
Flecainide
, and have not had an espisode since I started the
Flecainide
twice a day a month after I started the other two meds. The nurse navigator said I will continue these medications for at least 3 months after the procedure.

silly me back in AF, what PIP dose?
Last September I had a CV and was put on
Flecainide
for 4 weeks post CV at 50mg bd. Did I take the right PIP dose and what about tonight’s dose. I’m sure I’ll hear back by tomorrow. I’ll start the Apixaban tonight. I’m so annoyed at my self as I’ve had a great 4 months

I’m taking
flecainide
100mg twice a day and Edoxaban 60 mg one a day. A Fib is pretty much under control. Yesterday I was walking up a slight incline when my legs began aching and I became breathless I stopped for a while and things calmed down.

Could I stop taking Rivaoxaban?
I’ve been on
Flecainide
, Bisoprolol and Rivaoxaban now for 5 years and have a pacemaker, my heart is in sinus rhythm at 60bpm. I understand that Rivaoxaban is to help prevent blood clots forming, but as my AF is now managed could I stop taking it?

Propafenone Back!!!
A while back I posted regarding the critical shortages of Propafenone, which then bled over to shortages of
Flecainide
and Tikosyn.......which may continue until February.

Flecainide breakthrough
I have been on
Flecainide
for nearly 3 years. I have lately been having breakthroughs, every month or so. I called our Health Line and spoke to a Pharmacist who informed I could take a half dose. I am currently on 100mg twice a day. I then added half a tablet and that seemed to do the trick.

Does AF cause scarring of heart?
I last saw a cardiologist February 2020 who prescribed
flecainide
as PIP with option to have an ablation if palpitations became stronger and more persistent. I've not seen a consultant since as I've been coping reasonably well.

Heartbeat post cardioversion
After the latest cardioversion was told to resume the same dose of Bisoprolol but stop my regular daily dose of

(2x50mg) I had been on same doses of Bisoprolol and

since June 2020 (also Apixiban since initial diagnosis) So whilst I'm thankfully back in nsr I find that my heartbeat

Good news story
A shortish resume: Diagnosed 2018, paroxysmal AF treated with Bisopralol and
Flecainide
. Very symptomatic and intolerant of drugs. Feelings of passing out during episodes resulted in PM being fitted 2019. Episodes of AF became more frequent and lasted longer.

Metoprolol, flecainide and prevention?
I have a prescription for
flecainide
which I've never taken because I haven't had a bad episode since I got the prescription.
