Allergies, Intolerances and Autoimmune Diseases
When most of us think of the word "allergy" we are thinking of a systemic immune response, or at least an immediate and visible reaction. For myself as a child, allergies meant allergic rhinitis - streaming eyes, runny nose, and atopic reactions (rashes, usually itchy) to almost everything it seemed.

anaphylaxis
hi guys - as the subject suggsts, michael had a really bad reaction on wednesday, his lips swelled up, his eyes were really puffy and he was coughing really badly. he also had an extremely blocked nose which i have since found out is a bad symptom cos if your nose ""closes"", your lungs are the next

epinephrine pens for asthma
Does anyone know if it is possible to give a child adrenaline via epipen during a severe asthma attack that could be given if needed before ambulance/A&E. I know how fatal asthma can be in children/babies and just having one of the these would certainly put my mind more at rest. If yes where are they

Hi, I'm new to this, so don't know if I'm in the right area - if not - sorry! I have a problem, I have severe/brittle asthma, am a diabetic on insulin & have had a lifelong (well, since a baby) allergy to dairy products & eggs. I have now been diagnosed with a wheat allergy as well & am having reactions

Omron Micro Air - help needed please!
My omron is just over 2 years old .... Been fine most of its life apart from an initial hicup with a faulty mesh cap ( White medical replaced it but still blamed me for messing it up!!!) On tuesday, it got very soggy around the mesh and wouldn't work propperly on 2nd neb, Opted for epipen at that

Use of EpiPen in brittle asthma
I have had brittle asthma for many years. It has recently changed so that I am much less wheezy between attacks. However, when I do have an attack it comes on within 5 minutes or so and deteriorates very fast. I used to get much more warning than this and it is becoming quite scary. I have now been told

fabby neb/medical bag
I know this is sad but I wanted to let people know about my lastest find! I have just bought a thing called a Dia-Pak. It is a wallet designed for diabetics but it is fabulous. It works as a wallet or clips on a belt. It fits my Omron MicroAir plus mask, nebs and spare batteries, an EpiPen, Prednisolone

Scared, confused and in need to help
Hi I was wondering if anyone has any advice for me. In November I had a weird reaction after eating some Japense meso paste which was put down to an allergic reaction. After this I had several reactions that involved feeling itchy and have a weird sensation about me that I knew something bad was about

Epipens and Asthma
Dear All I would like to see if anybody has been having similar difficulties to mine with asthma and if so have they been issued with a epipen and what effect this is having. Since the beginning of the pollen season I have been having difficulties with my asthma and have been prescribed Seretide 250

Spacer/Inhaler/Peakflow case
Evening all, Anyone know if such a thing exists? Have looked around online but no luck. Would be so useful to have something like all those epipen cases. Have an aerochamber which isn't too bad to carry around but could do with something to keep it together with inhaler. Got a piko1 peakflow with it's
