Subcut Ventolin
I noticed looking back at some older posts that quite a few people are on subcut therapy. Having had all my brochs and lung function tests repeated due to moving to a new county and hence a new hospital again I have been told that there is little options at the moment. Prophylatic antibs not possible

Mmm, smarties :S
I eventually got to see a consultant at my local costa since moving. She agreed that I needed to be back on the Omalizumab and that my lungs were being stroppy at the mo, but said there's nothing that can be done without funding. So, my long-term Pred has been upped as my lung function was pretty awful

Omalizumab (Xolair) trial
Hi all I have recently been approached about taking part in the Xolair trial for non-allergic asthma, as my asthma is still uncontrolled despite all the meds. I think this is an amazing opportunity for me, but I have loads of questions buzzing around in my head and just wanted to hear your opinions

Omalizumab/Xolair Treatment Length
I've been on Omalizumab for I think almost two years. I think it has made quite a difference for me - certainly I have far far less hospital admissions and they have been much shorter. However, I am still on high dose Pred and can still be very up and down, so it hasn't been a miracle cure, though

Adrenal Function - Help me understand please
I'm hoping someone help can help me understand - I'm feeling pretty scared right now. :( I've been on long-term steroids (Pred) for years. Things are finally getting better with the Omalizumab so I've been weaning the Pred. Got down to 5mg from 40mg, my consultant wanted me to have a Synacthen test

OMALIZUMAB
Hi Just to give some possitive feedback on this drug. Aaron has been on this now for 2 months now. He has been having 2 weekly injections instead of monthly, and, keeping everything crossed, it appears to be working. Having suffered from 5 months old and not responding to any medication, except 2

Lincolnshire Hospitals/Consultants
I've read the T&Cs of this site and I *think* it's okay to ask this, if not, I'm really sorry mods - maybe people can answer by PM if not allowed? I'm going to be moving to deepest darkest Lincolnshire in about 4 weeks - middle of nowhere which will be a real shock after Central London. I have a choice

How long to get a consultant?
I was wondering if anyone knew how long it was reasonable to expect to wait for a referral to a consultant? I moved from London to the middle of nowhere at the beginning of January and my old consultant and GP were really good in contacting people with the aim of a smooth/swift transfer of care, especially

Different Treatment Across the UK
I was wondering (just out of curiosity really) if anyone else had moved house (particular South to North, city to country, etc. or vice versa) and experienced very different standards of treatment? I've recently moved from central London to a field 'op North... I finally got to see a consultant yesterday

Feeling utterly alone
Sorry to come here when things are bad. I'm not sure what anyone here can do - I just need a place to rant. I'm struggling a lot with my asthma and other medical stuff at the moment. I'm on 40mg Pred and Omalizumab but still struggling with falling peak flows and difficult symptoms. I'm back at the
