Colds and the avoidance thereof

Making a Complaint about Primary Care Management?
The nurse listened to my chest and said I had no wheeze, told me that I had a
common
cold
and advised me to take ibuprofen. She had finished the session and I asked her to do a Peak Flow Meter. She said 'you're not asthmatic, are you?' which I thought was odd as I'd told her this about 3-4 times.

Colds and a lot of them!
Us asthmatics, are we more prone to colds? I have adult onset asthma and since diagnoses I get an obscene amount of colds despite eating well, taking vits etc. I swear I get more colds in my thirties compared to when I was a child! Surely this should be the other way around.

Scientists discover cold-fighting protein that asthmatics lack
Common
cold
viruses trigger about 85 per cent of asthma attacks in children, and 60 per cent of those in adults, so picking up a winter bug isn’t just annoying, it can be life-threatening.

cold sore, mouth ulcers, boils and thrush.
Anybody else bothered with any of these - I seem to be going round in 'square' circles with them and the never ending anti-biotics don't help with the SLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Support through diet.
They are not cheap, but I went through surgery, 6 months of chemo, and nearly 2 years since, with no infections - not even the
common
cold
despite friends and family having the usual bugs. I think I will take TFs for the rest of my life.

Belfast: its part in my downfall
I love a Belfast Fry - or I did until I went back to being a vegetarian. Somehow, a plate of eggs, beans and hash browns with a dried-up soya sausage and a heap of brown lumps formerly-known-as-mushrooms isn't quite the same. But enough of my yelping, what's Belfast got to do with Rheumatoid Arthritis

A Brief Introduction
Mum has always taken the view that if you ignore an illness it will go away soon enough on its own; this works well for the
common
cold
but not for PSP! In the end Dad told her that if she didn't make an appointment with the Dr, he would.

What medicines are safe with Warfarin?
Has anyone got any suggestions as to what is safe such as what do you take when you have a
common
cold
or cough, or what alternative therapies (heat pad etc?) for when you sprain a muscle instead of taking Ibruprofen? Thanks, Stuart.
