Just started with a cold and my pf has dropped to 70%, is that normal or suggestive of an impending chest infection. I have a silly tickly cough but don't feel too tight or SOB.

This happened to me last weekend but my peak flow went down 50% no other real asthma symptoms but heavy cold by time got to dr's on Monday had a temp of 102 severe sinusitis and throat infection and a poorly chest. Antibiotics and pred given without any questions. I'd always be on the safe side and get checked as these things can spiral quickly.

my pf always drops wen i have a stinking cold grrr to between 50-75% best so i just follow my action plan accordingly
i would not say u have a chest infection starting unless you get other symptoms - could be just a normal cold - though if u do get worse or develop symptoms please get checked out
