Sotalol
Had a
cardioversion
last Thursday, but it only lasted for 2 days so back into hospital and had anothercardioversion. My question is I was stopped with my bisoprolol and put on sotalol. I looked on the knternetanditwas lassoed side by side with amiadrone and I’ve heard bad reports on these.

AF and cold water swimming
It's mentioned a
cardioversion
shock brings the heart back to normal, ( I've had one in the past) but do you think the shock of cold water would do the same? Thank you.

Failed cardioversion what’s next
First
cardioversion
failed any ideas what’s next. I’m anxiously waiting on heart nurse to come and chat. Totally gutted and scared 😱

Last electro cardioversion
I’m in hospital about to have my 3rd and I’m told final electro
cardioversion
. If it works, I will at some point ( days/months) have an af episode which will not self convert and the hospital will take no further action other than to reduce my heart rate. I am too heavy for an ablation.

Triggers for Afib
I’m new to this game and after
cardioversion
last Friday resulting in NSR but with premature atrial beats which can mean I could flip back soon I’m trying to be very careful. Would a pudding be a trigger too? Thank you 😊

Is this persistent af?
I know that I have not other issues except heart electrical ones, but this time I will be sent home with rate control rather than any kind of
cardioversion
, although they are currently struggling to get my rate down - it is around 120 bpm. I am so frustrated.

I was disappointed at the hospital as there were hardly any gel pumps ot cleaning stations available and when i did find one it was empty, luckily I had my own stash of spray. Plus it was very busy. How long after ablation before one can go off rate and rhythm control drugs?
Had cryoballoon ablation, two RF ablations, three cardioversions and STILL on metoprolol (50mg 2x/day) and flecainide (100mg 2x/day). Nice NSR in 45-60 range now. Very active, healthy eating, BMI under 25, alcohol free, one cup tea/day. IF (big if), ablations are “successful “ then when do I get to go

Newly diagnosed with AFIB. Very stressed out and scared!
I thought they'd give me some kind of drug, or do a
cardioversion
or SOMETHING. I really felt like I was about to die both times I was in the hospital, and even now I want to cry knowing that I now live with this at a young age and will deal with it forever.

AF is back.
Am very apprehensive about the possibility of permanent AF and the prospect of having a
cardioversion
or even a visit to A and E during COVID.

New here
It is throwing my spine out due to weight of fluid which has triggered back spasms (I also have a spinal cord injury) My arrythmia nurse wants me to stay out of hospital unless I really cannot breathe at all; has prescribed water tablets and I have a
cardioversion
appointment on 15th Dec.

AF Story
My echocardiogram was positive as my heart looked normal but I'm now awaiting a
cardioversion
. I'm not really anxious about having it done but the waiting time for an appointment is particularly frustrating. I pray that I can manage my diet and lifestyle in future but who knows.

Very informative discussion with cardiologist
The only option to get me back in NSR is a
cardioversion
(not a good option for me because of my spinal fusion). So going to A&E only useful if I am having extreme symptoms.

Change of plan
Had a letter yesterday for an appointment to revive
cardioversion
. On the 18th when I thought he was planning Ablation. Oh well start at the beginning I suppose.

One failed
cardioversion
. I'm 64 and in Wales. On Rivaroxaban 20mg for life, Bisoprolol 2.5mg twice a day and Amlodipine 5mg. Breathlessness has become worse gradually over time since spring this year. Was seen in Cardiac Clinic in October and will be seen again "in next few weeks" - January 2021.

Ablation after 3rd Cardioversion
Last week it was my third
cardioversion
and still feel some sort of arrhythmia after it. My cardiologist suggested to have an ablation...I'm skeptical about...I'm 82!
