Triggers for Afib

I was wondering if it’s safe to drink de-alcoholised wine over Xmas or would this be a trigger for Afib. I’ve been told I can have a glass of normal wine but am not wanting to risk it. I’ve heard fizzy drinks and sugary drinks can be a trigger too. I’m new to this game and after cardioversion last Friday resulting in NSR but with premature atrial beats which can mean I could flip back soon I’m trying to be very careful. Would a pudding be a trigger too? Thank you 😊

I should not think it would be a problem. When I was previously alcohol free because of medication the best wines I found was the Torres range in Waitrose.

The basic triggers seem to be alcohol, caffeine, chocolate and spicy foods. A portion of pudding should be fine as long as not drenched in brandy or a chocolate Christmas pudding (which being pedantic is not a Christmas pudding).

Have a good Christmas!
