Anyone else in afib 100% of the time?
After an ablation, several cardioversions and numerous medications, my pacemaker indicates that I have been in afib 100% of the time since last March. I'm on digoxin (which keeps me from feeling every skip and thump), metoprolol and Xarelto. I feel terrified for the future and discouraged that all

Hi all I’ve seen a Cardiologist, he’s referred me for a
Cardioversion
. Im not worried as such about having it, trying not to think about it to much. Can I ask those of you that have had one, How was it ?

Back in Persistent AF, since Sunday. What are peoples' experiences of Cardioversion, after having had previous successful ablation ?
I think I am on a wait list for a 2nd ablation, but just wanting to hear people's experiences of
cardioversion
in the meantime? Mine is now booked for 15th October. Thx a lot

Finally doing it. (1st Ablation on Thursday)
hi there, after 4 years of agonising over the decision, 4 years which included 4 cardioversions and many months in persistent AF, I’ve pulled the trigger and it’s happening. The cardio version in Feb lasted 2 months and the one in Sept only 24hrs (I’ve had one that lasted a year and one for 18 months

How long does it take to get your energy back after an ablation
My 80 yr old friend had 2 attempts at
cardioversion
and then an ablation in March. Since June she has been complaining about total loss of energy and has completely lost her mojo. Her cardio saw her last week and is happy with her heart and bp. I’m trying to get some idea of what is going on here.

Living with AF
They said it’s subjective to AF though and sure that the
cardioversion
should sort things out. Does anyone else get fatigued and tired from it? I’m in AF all the time. My heart rate isn’t that high. Just a mad rhythm all the time.

Upgraded from paroxysmal afib into persistent afib…. Deep joy!
I am meantime going to try and see a private cardiologist as I’m pretty sure even after a week, two weeks whatever that I could still have a
cardioversion
or an ablation to restore NSR?

Cardioversion
My consultant said he wants to get my heart rhythm back in a normal rhythm and that with a
cardioversion
they do work 9 out of 10 times (90%). Obviously though I’m guessing there is no guarantee if this will be successful and if so how long for.

Ablation and Cardioversion
A question is if I’m in AFIB during/after the ablation will they do
cardioversion
? My PAF is often short lived and I’ve never had a
cardioversion
. The thought of both procedures stresses me more . I’m not having a GA

Cardioversion + TEE
Two questions: 1) Has anyway experienced a
cardioversion
immediately preceded by a TEE? Just how unpleasant is the TEE?

Drinking and AF
I was diagnosed with persistent/permanent AF back in June, I had a
cardioversion
that worked well for 6 days, I'm on the list to have an ablation but the wait is 9 to 12 months here.... I like to have a drink now and again, nothing over the top maybe 3-4 pints a week...

Can a Cardioversion work after 9 months in Persistent Afib
It has been a long very hard fight to get seen re my change from Paroxysmal to Persistent Afib and the help and advice on here has helped.Just been offered
Cardioversion
option or at least put on waiting list.It could be a couple of months longer so maybe 9 or 10 months in Persistent AFib.I just wonder

Echocardiogram
My husband has Afib, has had
cardioversion
although I don't think 100% successful, and today has an echocardiogram (first one). The person carrying this out is "A Technician" 😬. Can anyone advise how long it takes to get results / the procedure afterwards.

Post Ablation - Feeling Grateful
A
cardioversion
in September 2017 kept me in sinus until late last year when I found I was getting increasingly frequent, short (10-15 second) heart rate peaks on my HR monitor whilst exercising. Despite trying different approaches to reduce the peaks the AF became persistent in March this year.
