Does macuna capsule must take with benserazide or carbidopa? 2. If so, i am taking 100mg levodopa/25mg benserazide(Madopar) if I want to add 400mg mucuna15% levodopa ; so I need to take extra benserazide? thx

The same goes for benserazide in the case of madopar. So if taken together orally, levodopa medication and B6 will inactivate each other. If possible, P5P should be taken 2 hours apart from levodopa medication. If that is not possible, separate P5P from levodopa with a meal.

I’m planning to switch from sinemet 125 mg (levodopa carbidopa combination) immediate release to madopar Controlled release 125 mg (levodopa benserazide). Based on your experience, do you think it’s safe n is a good idea?

There have even been studies on the increased efficacy of combining acupuncture with Madopar, levodopa with benserazide (Ren 2008, Liu 2017).

My husband's been on Modopar (BC/L) for 18 months now and still waiting for the honeymoon to begin !! He's finding it harder and harder to walk in the afternoon, due to overworking aswell. His doc who we see wvery 6 months to dictate the prescription just wants to up the dose (currently at 4 x 25/100

Only to "switch off" after a few minutes and return to his Parkinson's after 16 years of diagnosis and 10 years of levodopa-benserazide and pramipexole.

He's 58, dx 5 years ago and for last 6 months he started Modopar (50mg levodopa / 12.5mg benserazide) 1 caps 3 times a day (6am - 12- 6 pm) taken with 1 x ropinirole (12mg) at 6am. He also takes B1 500mg.

My mother in law lives in El Salvador and takes Prolopa which is levodopa and benserazide (instead of carbidopa). I understand that Prolopa and Madopar are essentially the same. We just visited my mother in law and I was surprised that she is on Prolopa 250/50 twice a day.

It took two years for Parkinson's diagnosis I started taking 3 100/25 levodopa and benserazide daily.

One group was treated with Madopar (levodopa and benserazide), another with Mucuna plus benserazide, and the third only with Mucuna. All were controlled for a year.
