Can Changing Steroid Inhalers be Effective?
I've been on
Becotide
(and now Clenil, which I find induces a cough, even through a spacer) for over a year now and - given the lack of any improvement in my PF readings in spite of adding in Singulair to replace Serevent recently - I was wondering whether it might be worth asking my GP to try a different

Pneumonia/Asthma/Undiagnosed and confused
The lady I saw today has told me to take my inhalers (
becotide
/ventolin) and that she is now referring me to the respiratory medicine department, as they do not know how to treat me further. I am baffled as to what to do next and what to think.

Is shaking / trembling & cramps to be expected?
I've gone from
Becotide
alone to
Becotide
& Serevent to Symbicort and back again. Serevent gave me cramp, so the nurse put me on Symbicort. This made me feel very odd; uncharacteristically anxious and shaky so my GP recommended a 2 week 'rest' of
Becotide
only before re-introducing Serevent.

More medication
Hi All, A month or so ago I wrote here about some side effects with Ventolin and
Becotide
. I have been to the doctor a couple of times since, and I'm now also taking Losec which helps with most of the side effects.

Paying for prescriptions
Hi, I wondered if anyone else is having the same problem - my GP will only prescribe one of each type of inhaler (I'm on
becotide
and ventolin) on each prescription. So before I was getting two for nearly 7 quid and now I'm getting one for the same price, doubling the cost.

Singulair
Originally I thought it could be the
becotide
but since he has gone down from 400mcgs am and pm to just 100 that didn't add up. Never once did I think of the singulair!

Asthma Flare ups
My asthma was ok when i was taking the combination of all three inhalers, ventolin,
Becotide
and Serevent (Seperately). I have been prescribed Prednisolone 4 times since December, because of asthma flare ups.

Asthma..yes..Constant Infection..yes! What could cause it?
These are
Becotide
2 puffs 4 times a day, Servent 2 puffs twice a day. Ventolin, before any excercise, when i wake up as i battle with wheezing and coughing fits! And when needed obviously during an attack! I have been going to my gp, a few times every month.

CLENIL MODULITE
Becotide
seems to be everywhere but my GP took me off it as apparently it is being withdrawn - or possibly just the 200 as that's the dose I take. Anyone else having difficulties? It's driving me mad!!!!!!! Much love, Fluffy. x x x

discontinuation of Becotide + Becloforte
Just wondering how other asthma nurses/practitioners in general practice are managing the discontinuation of A+H's
Becotide
+ Becloforte? My pct have advised no special action at present and I am just advising pt's that they will probably get a different brand from their pharmacist.

She is on serevent and
becotide
daily, and up until december she didn't take it unless she started wheezing, but after december's admission she's stayed on it.
