Atrovent
However if it's a bad day or a trigger I usually do need the inhaler and have found, even in the evening after a fair number of puffs, that
Atrovent
still helps. Anyone else had this or am I the only one using
Atrovent
like Ventolin?

A little jumble of questions seeking advice
One last thing is anyone on
atrovent
nebules? I was sent home with some from this weekends hospital admission but usually only have salbutamol, there was no instruction on how often to take them or if to mix with my salbutamol nebs, just wondering if anyone knows what the difference is?

Breathing Techniques Explained
This is drug is closely similar to
Atrovent
being intended to help your body maintain good control of your breathing. The difference is that Spiriva is intended to be a one dose daily drug to give 24 hour cover, whereas
Atrovent
is quick acting but short lived in the body.

Lung Volume Reduction using Pulmonary Valves. My experiences as a patient.
So I asked my GPs if I could try
Atrovent
(Iprotropium Bromide) via nebuliser instead, as it was one of the drugs the paramedics used, being fast acting and, for me convenient to use. The GPs agreed and I then used the
Atrovent
combined with Ventolin (Salbutamol) several times a day.

Hello from a newbie and some advice wanted please
Treatment was Magnesium, aminophylline,
atrovent
, prednisolone prescribed to go with my seretide and singular. I feel totally clear now, peak flow has actually increased by 20 but I feel quite weak in my legs and still have a few lingering chest pains.

Nebulisers
Hi, I currently have a Respironics Ventstream neb that I use mainly for ventolin/combivent/pulmacort and saline/
atrovent
from time to time. I find it really loud, it wakes the whole house when I have to use it during the night, which isn't ideal.

GP rationing my ventolin - very scared
I take Seretide and
Atrovent
regularly as a preventative, however my chest is still tight and wheezy most of the time, and being on such short rations severely restricts my range of movement regarding exercise. I dare not swim anymore, and can barely do any housework lest this trigger an attack.

A good appt this time!
I do have to try giving up the Ventolin till next time as he feels I may be using it so much that it's aggravating things; I'll use the
Atrovent
instead. My PF technique is wrong apparently and might be causing falsely high results.

Just an update.
Keeping me on
Atrovent
, it must be working it stops the wheez I get first thing in a morning. I'm still occasionally bringing dark green phlegm up, a couple of times per month I'd say. Dr says she can't hear anything on my chest and it's clear of infection.

Stopping Atrovent
i was on a trial of Xolair which made no difference to my spirometery and very little difference to my quality of life so they stopped it, but they have also stopped my
Atrovent
. since stopping my pf has dropped from 350ish to 260 so not enough that i would go to the gp but is enough that i feel tight

Does anyone else get this?
Do you take both the
Atrovent
and Ventolin when this happens? I find the Atrovent's generally more effective for me, though both together are even better; 30 mins is about the right time for the
Atrovent
to be kicking in so wonder if it's mainly that, if you are taking it.

What to do now
Luckily I responsed well to Salbutamol and
Atrovent
nebs and am now on antibiotics as ED felt I might have got a chest infection. My steroids have now finished although I'm still on antibiotics.

Has anyones little one had this and what was it used for/with? I am a little confused as if this is a preventer or reliever, some ppl I have spoken to have used it for both! The reason I am asking is because Isaac was given this to try instead of his salbutamol (to check if sal was making him hyper
