Back to the side effects
I take accolate 20 and symbicort to control my breathless between exerbations but it's not quite enough, I have been given Atrovent and spiriva to help but I have problems with them both. Dizziness nausea and severe headaches. I am wondering if I can take it through my nebuliser with less side effects

Taking medication
I have been told to use my Atrovent inhaler twice before my symbicort but I am not sure how long before, do I need to wait 15 mins or is immediately ok? Does anyone else use it like this?

Ventoline and Atrovent evohalers
Ok new trial 2 vento puffs plus 2 atrovent puffs when I feel tight..see if that helps.😊 He is definitely against nebs, said it has been proven they have no added effects than inhalers and the aerochamber. 🙄 All that to avoid oral steroids in view of eye, bone, skin problems 😢 I hate plane pollen!

Fed up on pred.
Been on pred now for 7 months, in between this I've had one hospital admission and 5 weeks off work. Still on pred, up and down with dosage, get to 18mg and have to go back up to 30 mg as I start to get systom again. So today back up to 30mg, so again I am emotionally unstable, work is becoming more

Report came through..
Hi Everybody!! Hope you are enjoying the weekend. The Report was so complex that the GP said he'd have to research the answers :))) So I wrote an email to the respiratory clinic because I noticed my asthma has gone up to severe. That is because of the dyspnea, shortness of breath. It should improve

Letter from GP regarding Hylo-Forte
Well what a ridiculous letter I received from my GP practice yesterday. One of my regular prescriptions - Hylo-Forte 2% eye drops Preservative Free ( prescribed by the top Ophthalmologist at my local hospital regarding the importance of protecting both my corneas - for life) has now been substituted

Hello New and Old friends☀️ Looks like the bubbling gurgling has moved side!! 💧💧 I couldn't believe it when I was breathing last night and felt it in the bottom left lung instead of the right one! Has anyone got that before? Is it moving around or will it quit altogether?? Wishful thinking ✨..apprehending

Grandma
Hi, I have just been to see my grandma today. She is 83 and a heavy smoker, largely housebound. She has severe COPD; she uses (or is supposed to use) Symbicort 400/12, Atrovent 20mcg, and Salamol 100mcg, and has been offered home O2 multiple times and always refused. (I don't have COPD and I do not

Home, but it's hard..
After 11 days in the hospital, with 2 life-threatening attacks and an allergic reaction in that time, I was discharged yesterday. I'm glad to be home, of course I am..but things really aren't as good as they should be. In the hospital, once I was out of Resus, I was on 4-hourly Ventolin nebs, and 6-

Atrovent
I'm finding that with the exception of symbicort, my other inhalers such as tudorza, and spiriva aren't helping the way I expected.i was thinking of trying Atrovent. So I'm asking anyone who is using Atrovent what their opinion is, and if they find it to be helpful with breathing. Thanks for you replies

What are you all on?
I'm just interested, really. I'm 17. Fostair 100/6mcg, 3 puffs morning, 3 night (not really working so going back to doc next week). Montelukast 10mg at night. Atrovent 20mcg, 2 puffs before ice hockey (or indeed any exercise), or 2 puffs 3 times a day if I'm yellow-zoning. Salamol 100mcg, 2 puffs

Weird triggers, or not-so-weird?
I have asthma (uhh, like that isn't obvious) although not sure what severity; I take Montelukast 10mg every day, Fostair 3 puffs twice a day (yeah, I need to go back to the nurse), Ventolin as needed or regularly depending how I am, and Atrovent 20mcg before ice hockey or with my Fostair when I'm yellow-zoning

Another hospital stay
Hi Everyone I'm on Seretide 250 (2 puffs twice a day) I got cold symptoms so added in Flixotide 250 (2 puffs twice a day) as well as added regular Salbutamol & Atrovent. I'm already on Montelukast and started Prednisolone and antibiotics on the advice of my GP. 2 days later I had to go to A & E twice

Eye ointment for sjogren's syndrome?
Hello, I use Hylo-forte during the day for dry eyes & Lacri-lube at night both prescribed by my doctor. I am struggling with the Lacri-lube as it is fiddly to administer and I am not sure whether it is helping or not. Could you please advise as to another brand of eye ointment that I can use at night
