Recent diagnosis of Paroxysmal AF and underlining Lown-Ganong-Levine (LGL) syndrome

Anyone have to give up Tikosyn?
My EP checks my q t line on 12 lead ECG periodically to make sure my q-t line doesn’t get too long. (Potentially fatal😬). This week he “didn’t like the look of it after I recovered from a five day Afib seige following the second Pfiser jab, and reduced my dosage to 2.5 from 5. I am hopeful it is as

Why am I breathless ?
Symptoms of AF have been fairly mild lately but have been suffering terrible bouts of breathlessness which can last for hours and wondering if this is a symptom of the condition or could it be some of my medication causing it ? I’m on Apixaban 5mg Bisoprolol 5mg Digoxin 125 and 5mg Amlodopine .Only diagnosed

Advice urgently needed please...don't know what to do. AFib flair up
Hi have been in AFib mode since I awoke this morning. Highest range of heart fluctuations has only reached 120 (fitbit read) and heart rate is fast. Blood pressure dropped (BP monitor) but not into danger zone. Horrible pressure like discomfort in my head and in my chest. Have taken heart meds this morning

Curious Variation in Atrial Fib Incidence, Mortality Across Europe

Relaunch of Act F.A.S.T stroke campaign
We are supporting the relaunch of Public Health England’s ACT F.A.S.T stroke campaign. For some people, living with an arrhythmia, such as atrial fibrillation, means they are at a higher risk of having a stroke. This is why it is so important for people to know their pulse. Hi all. My heart rate is haywire today. From 140 regular down to 60 irregular. Up and down all day. Ecg showed possible atrial flutter.
Is this a fib. Haven't had diagnoses yet after 2 months.

Screening for atrial fibrillation
Just a few of many papers. The third is particularly impressive. None appear to be behind a paywall. A hugely important matter. 1. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5565853/ which mentions increased workload for GPs [https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27059888/] 2. https://www.ahajournals.org

Flecainide and Metoprolol Combo Have Stopped Working

Are we all shielding?
On Feb 17th I was quite shocked to receive a shielding letter. I queried this with my GP surgery. The first GP I spoke to said it was a clear mistake and they would get it reversed and to ring a week later to check that had happened, which I did. Five days later I received a letter saying on balance

No Sleep Thanks to Afib
Hi Folks, Just wondering what I can do about my increasing sleep deprivation and anxiety about afib. I was diagnosed in 2017 after hyperthyroidism pushed me into Afib. In 2019 I had 3 carioversions including two a week apart. In both instances I woke up middle of night heart racing and it became Afib

My Apple watch
I have been extremely surprised today when I saw my EP at the hospital. My watch was recording that I had AF and I felt dizzy and breathless. However my ECG tracing in the hospital recorded that I was in sinus rhythm. I have always trusted my watch but now in shock as it doesn’t seem very accurate.

How long will magnesium work for.?
Does anyone know how long magnesium supplements work for.? I was diagnosed with lone afib 7 or 8 years ago and have undergone 3 pvi ablations in that time. now around 6 months ago out of desperation of not been able to see my cardiologist due to the Covid-19 situation I started myself on 250mg magnesium

When it should not be anticoagulated
From the SEC's 2016 Guide to Atrial Fibrillation Management developed in collaboration with AECCT. In female or male patients with atrial fibrillation who do not have additional risk factors for stroke Anticoagulant or antiplatelet therapy is not recommended for prevention. Blood thinners
I am taking 3 meds that could be considered blood thinners....Eliquis: Nattokiness, and Vitamin K. I also take Taurine and Arginine. My question is...can I eliminate Eliquis and keep Natto? I take the meds because I have been found to have A-fib. A few years ago, Nalakrats wrote a great article about

Could a Bluetooth/Wifi Watch Trigger Afib and Afib Episodes?
So I believe that there has been some research on potential health issues with bluetooth/wifi headphones (I think with relatively little proof of harm?) but it occurred to me that I am in 24 hour skin contact with my Apple Watch, which ironically I purchased when I first started getting the occasional

Afib after covid jab
Had Asta Zeneca jab yesterday at 1345. At about 0130 I've gone into afib. So I've taken my pill in pocket and will take another in five minutes, but with little hope as my afib has never self resolved before, always needed cardioversion (three times). So my question is, what do I do now? Go into A&E
