Also has anyone else taken Acamprosate for Alcholol withdrawal and does it help? Thank you ❤️

Recently I was prescribed Acamprosate to prevent the urge to drink (I fell off the wagon three months ago). I have been taking Acamprosate for the last three months and find them very effective. The instructions state that I can take this medication for up to 12 months.

as he's also on the drug Acamprosate to help stop the desire to drink.. But this week its crept up to 3 to 4 mostly without the lemonade, then this morning I woke up to him sitting down stairs at 8.30 with a can & had drunk at least another 6 cans!!!

Hello all, bit over the top with my title, but this drug is certainly working for me, I used to drink 70+ units a week. I then cut right down but then crept up to around 40 units a week. I had regular breaks of a week or two before starting to drink again. My main concern was the constant urge to drink
